Just a reminder Iroh: whole army, about 2 years, probably hundreds if not thousands of casualties, and he just broke through one wall before giving up Azula brought her two besties and took the whole city in less than a month with only one or two casualties on the enemy side girl might have been crazy, but she was effective

According to the writers, Azula was supposed to get an arranged marriage somewhere in the series presumably in Book 3 but had to cut it because it didn't fit in the flow of the story. Can you imagine the torment she would've put her would be husband through?

Let’s not forget: Zuko and Iroh took their chances with the ENTIRETY of the Earth Kingdom, rather than dealing with Azula

Seeing Azula's feats laid out back to back like this non-stop actually is fucking nuts. She really pulled off some wild shit in this series and it all seems earned. Not a single ass-pull. And she's not a Mary Sue because she has glaring flaws and gaps in her talents and personality traits. It's just that all of her good traits are specifically set to make her a perfect antagonist.

Azula stands above all as the pinnacle of hatred and insanity. She was hating on Zuko the entire show, bro was fighting for his life and she was plotting on his downfall every single time.

Nah azula’s quote to that captain was terrifying: “you should quit worrying about the tides, who have already made up their minds about killing you; and focus on me, who’s still mulling it over” 😅😭😭

what's crazy is that in the comics Azula actually mentally recovers after finding out their mom isn't dead and then starts the Anbu Black Ops of the Fire Nation (Kemurikage) because Zuko was like "As long as you're not mentally insane you can do whatever the hell you want because I can't stop you"

Not only did Ozai make her firelord, he made himself the Phoenix king. He made the title of fire lord worthless, something Azula always wanted.

Azula is the epitome of "I don't just support women's rights, I support women's wrongs." Because I still say her crazy ass deserves a spot on the round table.

Azula is a tragic character. Her father made her a weapon and had no other purpose for her, he leveraged his approval to mold her into his perfect executor. She does everything the way she thinks he’d want things done and wins the war for him… and her reward is nothing but a meaningless title while her father alone goes to claim the world. She thought she was the favorite child and then realized she’s no different than Zuko. Ozai never cared for either of them, but Azula was useful to him. Everything Azula ever did… was for nothing. The only person she wanted approval from never saw her as anything but a tool he was ready to put back on the shelf.

"Don't flatter yourself. You were never even a player." remains one of the best villain lines I've ever heard.
