The reason why they can’t sign him is because the cap is going to be a problem next year. They had sign CMC and also Brock Purdy‘s contract is gonna be a question of next year. So that’s one of the reason why they got a WR in the first round to begin with. Also worst case scenario is Aiyuk sits out for the 2024 season until a deal or a trade is on the table.

He's under contract so he will play for us period. I will go out and say he will get franchise tagged next season. They offered him 26 million the franchise tender is 25 million so who really has all the leverage?

Just sad it got to this point... Been on the "Extend him " bandwagon but this unnecessary drama is a tad much... He needs to realize he can't take this too personal... it is a business... he's a first rd pick and a GREAT route runner AND blocker... that said they both need to find the middle ground to help them both out...

Dude had 1 good season and 2 on season I truly think whoever gets him is overpaying but thats ok with just because he can block/ is willing to block doesn’t make him elite dude want the money he doesn’t deserve

he was offered 26m per year. Respectfully that seems perfect for his production. He is not worth 30m+..

Aiyuk knows he can hold the Niners hostage during these negotiations because they need him, especially in this current championship window they're having. But in all honesty, Aiyuk just seems like another drama receiver just like the rest who's probably not worth what he's asking for especially when he's not a Tier 1 WR.

Debo proved he was more important when he was out they lost. I think Aiyuk success is more the system then him being elite.

Aiyuk is a very good WR, but he’s not an irreplaceable talent. Too much drama.
