How to react when being lied to in France

As you visit various restaurants, you'll encounter all sorts of situations. Sometimes, they might say they're out of an ingredient or don't have any stock left. It can be frustrating when you finally decide on a dish from the menu, only to be told it's not available. While sometimes this might genuinely be the case, there are instances when it's not true. I wanted to share a personal experience as it might serve as a good example of how to handle such situations. This wasn’t my first time dealing with this. It happened in the beautiful gourmet city of Marseille in southern France.

I'm 5 videos deep and I don't even drink wine

As a French, I'm baffled by the service.... not opening the bottle of wine, not pouring your glasses, only pouring your wife's glass on the first bottle & the server saying he only gets a couple of dozens & limited bottle of wines per year ??? What the hell is this ? I truly admire your patience & I'm very sorry for your experience.

I want to go to France and get treated rudely in restaurants right now… I love this channel.

I seriously only watch these videos to just listen to your conversation. Switching from Korean to French to English and others is always fascinating. Me and my wife are learning Italian to do this very thing.

Your wife is adorable, I love the interaction between you both. There's an old English saying... "Like two peas in a pod". You are able to make the most pleasant and memorable moments together in a situation most people would sooner forget. It's enjoyable and entertaining. I love your videos as they're so insightful and smart

As a Finn I would have stood up immediately and left after that waiter started talking. Unforgivable 😂 I'm always amazed how your personality ends up melting these people, it is just so heartwarming

Never in my life have I seen a server pour only one glass of wine and then walk away, or put down a bottle, not open it, and then walk away. It's bonkers 😅

The tug of war over the wine menu made my day lmao

I've never wanted to visit France, but your videos re-assures my feelings of never wanting to go to France

The server was very careless, but I love seeing the Wine King holding his composure and maintaining his charm :)

The great thing about this channel is that even for those like myself who aren't wine connoisseurs (and who don't speak French) these videos are quite entertaining. Being an Italian-American who loves Spain I'm going to search for videos in which you're visiting those countries.

I don’t know much about wine but I absolutely love how you move so seamlessly between French, English, and Korean.

Something I learned from you is to not let people who vibe low ruin your high vibe. And in the end your high vibe might just help them vibe a little higher. 😁👍
  • @CyclingChefDiane
Wow the service was so awful. I think he was only kind(er) in the end because you had spent so much $. This was so wholesome. You two are great.
