* Use grease made for forks. I use Slickoleum which is also sold under the name Slick Honey. You can also use SRAM Butter or Judy Butter. If the fork uses oil, use the proper fork oil. Use of a grease/oil not made specifically for forks can damage the plastic/polyurethane parts, or otherwise leave the fork not working properly.

Timing is perfect have some suntour forks to strip. Down with my son looks alot easier than I thought many thanks for the great videos

My front fork for my bike is just about the same as this fork but I have two springs instead of one the process of taking mine apart is still the same also I got mine apart cleaned and put it back together but thank you for this video RJ cause you have been a big help with everything I know about bikes

Thanks RJ You are definitely helping me to build my masters of bicycle mechanics, you tube should really offer diplomas after a certain number of hours of study lol. I've Been fixing my old bikes up and pasting them on with confidence that thay ride well and are safe, thanks in a lage part to your videos, l'm so confidence in fact i just bought a very rough but complete 1974 RALEIGH grand prix off ebay for $20 to restore.
