"Don't attack someone's reality, even if you known it to be false. Offer that person a better perception, and let them make their own reality better." - Daryl Davis

This man has wisdom, "offer them a better perception, don't attack their reality" awesome!
  • The best way you can honor Daryl is to practice his communication philosophy throughout your own life.

Just imagine the level of psychological courage required to do this. This man is a Legend.

This man is accomplishing what many activist groups are failing to do

This guy should be given the Nobel Peace Prize. He is a beautiful soul. We need more people like him on both sides of the aisle. When I was young I was full of hate. My time in the Army working with people of color made me change mind. There are men I served with, of all ethnic backgrounds I call my brother, that I would of died for. I was lucky enough to been a young man willing to change.

This guy came to my tiny school and spoke to me in my classroom now 6 years ago now it’s crazy to see him on JRE, he also plays amazing piano. He spoke in our music class and I saw him play.

This dude has some real balls, trying to change the perspective of people that probably want him dead. I’m surprised people actually hate on what he does. Edit: Man, his technique is 100% on point, the “i’m right and you’re wrong approach” really gets you no where.
  • Daryl is smart, calm, he has rhetoric and he accepts disagreement. Clearly a friend to have.

This dude has it figured out. One of my favorite stories is this guy’s life. It’s really inspirational to see someone so committed to combatting racism. And he does it with simple logic and just being friendly. The world would be a much better place if people could just follow his advice when talking to someone with an opposing viewpoint. It’s all about respect. If you can’t give someone else the respect of listening to their words, how do you ever expect them to listen to you?

Daryl is one of the few individuals im constantly trying to work myself to be like, to be able to suppress my anger and really learn from individuals and just listen before arguing
  • @helderlouro
The world needs more Daryl Davis. Today, more than ever.
  • This man is probably the living solution to ending racism, and I am very proud of him for maintaining that legacy!

Daryl sounds much healthier in this episode than the last time he was here. I'm glad to hear him voice sounding much clearer.
  • @retepoteil
I don’t think I ever have been so glued to someone telling a story like this man when he was on the podcast last time
  • I think Daryl Davis is probably one the few people in American life that just about everyone can look at and say “hey, that guy is alright”. Dude should run for office, we need healing

“So now I’m being called stupid” made me laughed😂😂
