Thought it would be a fun thing to imagine what the partner reunions could be if they actually showed up in the final game. Ended up a bit cheesy, but, eh.

  • Goombario: Shows jealousy on Mario choosing another Goomba partner over him. (Idolizer vs Probable love interest) Kooper: Waiting for Prof. Kolorado Bombette: STILL trying to get away from Bruce Parakarry: Either looking for Frankie or Prof. Frankly Lady Bow (She IS in the game, people!): Taking a vacation in Poshley Heights Watt: Acting 'mature' Sushie: Suffering from 'problem puberty teens' Lakilester (or is it Michael? Spike? ...WHATEVER!) : Chilling out like a coooool duuuuude.

I was legit thinking the whole time "how did I miss every single one of these but Lady Bow?" I was about to break out the GameCube and do another playthrough to find them. Good job. It looks very real.

"Poor trees. Poor postmen." Goombella is a savage. I love her.
  • I seriously thought these were all actually in the game. Like, they showed up after you beat it or something. Great work!

It was disappointing when I first found out the partners from the previous Paper Mario were originally going to make cameos. Thankfully, this feels accurate as to how the characters would speak postgame, ignoring one or two spelling errors.

"I'm not a kid anymore, though! I'm 3 years old! You're right Watt you are not a kid. you are a toddler
  • @OlmiOP
"Really envy that cloud! ...do you think they're for sale?" Yeah, they're like 5 bucks on the E-shop, and come with a Midgar stage too!

0:39 Love how you referenced the translation mistake in the Tattle that Dark Lakitus throw Pipes (The Spiny Egg is called Paipu in Japanese, so they probably mistook it for Pipe when translating, while the Pipe in Japanese is Dokan)
  • @claireanela
How did you do this?! Everyone is 100% in character, the dialogue is hilarious, and it looks really good! (Watt looked a teeny bit off though. Still incredible job.)

1:16 "Have you seen Professor Kolorado anywhere?" No, but we did find his Dad awhile back. . .
  • @DarkLink1996.
You bring up Kolorado but don't mention the fact that you find his father's corpse in the first chapter? Seems like a missed opportunity.

you know this might be cheesy, but its actually really clever, the personalities fit, so do the locations and why theyre there. if this wasnt one of my childhood games, and you would remove the other from the title, i wouldve probably been fooled.

All of this new text feels pretty authentic and detailed, and Suhie's mention of the Yoshi Kid mood swings fits in well with the Goombario's Quest animated series by Eastbeastfilms. I look forward to seeing a whole new Paper Mario game, made out of the existing code from PM64 & TTYD, and that possibilty is only getting closer! The only thing that feels off here is that a couple of the PM64 idle animations are a bit too fast, namely Goombario & Kooper. (And Watt lacking a shadow)
  • @JJ-Trick
smart detail; watt doesn't have a shadow which makes a lot of sense considering hes like a mini - sun or something. or a living ball of electricty.

This is a huge miss opportunity for the remake of the thousand year-old door to bring in all the partners just to visit aside from both bow and perrykerry they had the data and everything why didn’t use it. It would’ve been awesome to see them again.
