Go check and compare the number of snaps of each defensive lines. You're going to find out Michigan is in the 300's and Alabama is in the 500's. Alabama players practice against each other every day. Iron sharpens iron. This is why Alabama players that go to the NFL say the practices are easier in the NFL. Today was NSD. 15-17 of those 3, 4, and 5*'s are early enrollees. Many are practicing during bowl game practices. In January and February they will be in the 4th quarter strength program. Training goes on and on before the season begins. Alabama has a system. GA has a similar system. A first year starter that has been in the program for 3 years is almost 4 years into the program. People shouldn't underestimate "experience." Alabama is approaching this game as a one game season. Last time I checked they haven't had a losing season.

I learned from the final coaches poll in 1997 that some coaches are petty, small children and we know who they are. I don't put much stock in what some coaches say.

I’ve listened to this for 30 minutes and am still waiting on someone to give a solid reason why Michigan will win this game. I honestly think Bama may be overconfident, but I’m hearing 2 Michigan guys who seem to be touting how great it is to beat Ohio State and win their weak conference championship. Good luck against Bama, I guess.

50 year fan for Bama. Steve - as always - has a good analysis and assessment of Bama and in particularly the QB. We have a running back that happens to throw a few passes. He routinely goes 0 for 4 - missing easy routes and failing to read defenses. From my view, we’ve won several games by pure luck - suffering from poor passing and poor run defense. The only way we win is by Harbaugh doing stupid shit - basically bad game coaching. The only thing he’s wrong about is - he boasts about 20 nfl players on the team but then complains Michigan can’t get good enough players to compete for a natty. Which is it? Rtr

The difference between Michigan & Alabama…. Michigan is content with 13-1 with beating OSU. Alabama is only content with winning the National Championship. One thing you said about Michigan having more wealth than the southern schools. Maybe most but maybe not all? Auburn has the Billionaire yellow wood fellow funding them. Texas & Texas A&M has the oil money.
