Gotta hand it to the people working on the show. SpongeBob’s library has been fairly consistent in terms of layout and design throughout the series.

I blame SpongeBob for making me want a home library since I was a kid. Also, I like how they kept the look of the library halfway consistent, even retaining the simple square with a colored blob aesthetic for the bookshelf, despite that being just an outdated limitation of cell animation.

PLEASE do squidward’s house. its always fascinated me just as much as spongebob’s. same with patrick’s, like that episode where his parents visit. even mr. krabs anchor home, or sandy’s dome, plankton’s chum bucket, etc. I think these could be really fun for you to make as a creator, as well as us viewers!

I think it's a split floor situation, the library is the second and third floor (given its tall enough for a door from the third floor to reach it) so yes that hatch is roof access.

Yeah, SpongeBob’s library was often where he’d go if he ever needed space to think about solving his problems, along with the top of the pineapple. Glad you’ve covered this in a video! Also I mistakenly thought Gary’s dream library in Sleepy Time was supposed to be an even grander version of this but no, it’s all Gary’s! Lol.
