This video was very much inspired by the genius stylings of Eran Amir and vfx magician Zach King. (With a bit of Loony Tunes, Mr Bean and Chaplin sprinkled in). Legends, the lot of em.

Why are you whispering at me?!

#ASMR is an acronym commonly used to describe the tingly/buzzing/static sensation associated with certain audio/visual stimulae - often whispering/soft-spoken voice, and other quiet triggers. It's a similar feeling to 'frisson' - the shivers that run up your spine when watching an incredible scene in a film, or really /feeling/ amazing music. It's the bes

Imagine showing this video, in particular, to common people when cinematography was only at its beginning and there only was black and white content. Must be crazy to see a man in a video coloring things by simply touching them! A magician at his finest
  • If i was watching this without a title, I would've suspected it to be an art project or a short film. It is really that good
  • @Liiizzyy
The ability to see, and look at colors is so underrated. Such a precious gift.
  • @MacNava
I love the fact that when the room is mostly colorful, there's still some black and white things in the room, meaning that depression never truely goes away forever. He didn't have to put that little detail in there, but he did, and I love that.
  • @KingPancat
This seems like a Disney cartoon that would’ve aired in the 60s when they first made the jump to color tv in order to showcase the new technology and it makes me so happy
  • @May_003
I was in tears trying to figure out what the character was going through. he misses those colourful days of his childhood, when he felt blissful. those days seemed to be gone forever - now everything was dark. it put a smile on my face to see him so happy and accomplished when he managed to recolour his life back again. this masterpiece that you've created speaks volumes about who you are and the type of ASMRtist or content creator you are / are trying to become. you're such an inspiring film maker, director, actor, and such a wonderful MAN. this warmed my heart, thank you.

I feel like more color happens when he gets happier. At first he was like “this isn’t normal” but as he goes on he starts to appreciate it.
  • @pareopudding
this feels like one of those short films u get shown in class where u have to find a deep meaning behind it
  • @remokarap628
To me it's like he's telling a story of a man who seemed to lose everything that made him happy. The more he grew up, the less colour he had, the sadder he got. This is like him regaining his colour or happiness in a way. Awesome.

I refuse to believe you are an asmrist. You are a top notch filmmaker.
  • @shego1142
This is like a visual representation of what recovering from depression feels like and I love every second of it!
  • While everyone is talking about the practical effects (which are super impressive!) I really love the idea of the video. As we get older, the world seems to become black and white. The character reflecting on the photos of his birthdays when he was younger, being in color, but as the pictures become more recent, become black and white. The idea that a phone was "boring" and black and white, but the rubex cube, a "child's toy" being in color really drives the point that when we view the world like we would as a child, it becomes more colorful. At least that's my interpretation.
  • @ADHlexia
For most of this I was wondering if it was either all editing or a black and white and he had special effects makeup. When I saw that his wrists weren’t black and white, I came to the conclusion that it really iS a b&l set with sfx makeup! This whole video was so creative and I enjoyed every second of it. Both as a filmmaker, and an ASMR listener 🥰
  • @udzalthegreatest
The fact that only one of his photographs has color already shows me how colorful we were when we were young, and our colors fade through the years as we become more exposed to reality. But we can find our colors again, if we dig deep, and look at reality from a different and unique perspective.
  • Is no one going to talk about how the balloon popped when he wrote “Bang”?? That was so cool, just like this entire video and Atlas himself
  • @Carlyw9t2
The way you hummed and ha-ed to yourself gave me such incredible nostalgia. It reminded me of the way Mr Bean used to grunt and mumble to himself in the show when I was a kid. The entire video was just so whimsical and full of childlike wonder, I can't believe I got to watch it for free.
  • @ghostiigoesboo
i love that pouring the orange juice is just “what the fuck is that… it’s cool though”
  • @odd3cho
this reminds me of the feeling i get when i'm coming back to earth after getting really anxious or dissociated. as i ground myself and start paying attention to my surroundings again, it feels as if i'm gradually able to discard the oppressive greyscale and remember how to see the world in color again. i've grown to love ASMR because it helps me get out of my head. there are things to be seen, felt, heard, EXPERIENCED around me that i forget to pay attention to a lot of the time. in a figure of speech (because of course is goes well beyond that) i want to experience life in color. thank you for masterpieces like this that remind me what it is to be alive
