That smell when it rains is called petrichor. Greek "petra" for stone and "ichor" for the blood that flows through the god's veins.

Even though it's a stormy sky, it's beautiful. Like a painter swirling shades of grey, ok it reminds me of Bob Ross, "Here's a happy little rain shower."

When there was a thunderstorm when we were kids, mom would run around the house unplugging things. Dad would take us out onto the porch to see things up close. It was MAGNIFICENT!

We had a scary storm today but no hail. Loud thunder and lightning. I love a good noisy storm but the clouds were making me nervous. And then like the song, out came the sun and dried up all the rain.....
