My WORST Etsy Customer Ever

  • I’m so mad and it didn’t even happen to me lol! I have been lucky to not have anyone like this yet on Etsy. but I’ve definitely dealt with unreasonable people in previous jobs. It’s unbelievable how some people act. For what it’s worth, I don’t think you were rude at all. The customer is NOT always right, and sometimes they need to be informed of that. Glad you win the cases.

    You were 100 percent right. I bet this lady makes everyone’s life miserable everywhere she goes. I definitely have customers like that in my brick and mortar shop!
  • I monogram at a local shop in my town, and every story you’ve shared is something we’ve dealt with 🤣 having to provide people with screenshots for proof that they messed up is PAINFUL but necessary
  • I accidentally did the wrong size on a dress last fall. I offered to send the dress in the correct size or a discount and I got a nasty “no” back. 🙃 Customers can be so hard to deal with sometimes. 😬

    A fun story in retrospect, although it must have been frustrating at the time. Thankfully I haven't had a customer like that. And you handled it well, I would probably refund it or send a new item just to have peace, but people shouldn't be rewarded for being nasty and aggressive.
  • Thanks for sharing your story so far I've had alot of really nice customers I had 1 customer tho that ordered 48 mini cupcakes for dogs and of course I made her order to the exactly as ordered and then it was delivered and was questioning me if I really sent 48 cupcakes and i was like yes i made the 24 peanut butter and 24 peanut butter pumpkin mini cupcakes just as ordered and she goes well these are to small and saying it's not enough for her dog party and i said well I'm sorry your upset about your order but mini cupcakes are small not medium or large they are mini meaning small she opened a case on etsy asking for them to all be replaced when there wasnt anything wrong with her cupcakes in the first place I of course said no to the replacement and said I'm sorry but if you didn't order enough for your party dont blame me for it I made your order exactly how you wanted and made sure I rushed the shipping because if there was any delays it wouldn't of made it there on time for the party and then I just said that I'm sorry but if you need more youl have to order more and of course I'm sure that she didn't read my title or description but it clearly says they are small and mini cupcakes and me explaining that they are small is described a few times in different wording while I'm telling the details about the mini cupcakes so anyways overall nothing happened to my shop in anyway so far no bad review I also told her that I was very upset because I did put alot of effort and time and care into her order so maybe she was just like okay oh and I forgot I did ask if she read the description and title because I said if she did she wouldn't be questioning the size so maybe she realised that she made a mistake or maybe shes mad at me I'm not sure yet lol

    I actually think some “women” enjoy complaining. They get attention from it. Always women … never men . Just my opinion.
