This vlog "I Have Found Me a Home" chronicles Jimmy Buffett's first day in Key West and details many of the locations where he lived. From his first beer at the Chart Room, watching sunset at Mallory Square, sunrise at the Key West Cemetery, and his exploits living at the properties of author Tom McGuane learn where Jimmy spent his earliest days/years on the island. Also learn about 70s life in Key West as the movie 92 In The Shade was filmed, starring Margot Kidder and Peter Fonda. See the apartment where Jimmy Buffett lived when he recorded A1A, Havana Daydreamin, White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean and Living and Dying in 3/4 Time (to include his exploits with Hunter S Thompson). Finally see his final "official" residence in Key West as he transitioned from his crash pad days to family man.

I met Jimmy and Jane in DC, 1975. Moved to Aspen for their wedding in '77 and stayed a few. Met both Toms, but there's another character not mentioned, Groovy (RIP)

Jimmy Buffett would visit Thomas County GA in the late 80's and early 90's. He loved it up here in S. GA.. He would hunt and rented a plantation yearly up here.. No one bothered him up here. You would see him ride around in his Range Rover and play tennis at the tennis courts at Thomasville High School. I saw him several times.

Excellent video. I grew up in KW (teens during 1970s) crazy times, but as it was all I knew, seemed normal to me, Lol! My memories of Jimmy are of him riding on floats in the Fantasy Fest parade!

RIP Tom, and another amazing stories you can tell. Jimmy was at the right time at the right place, how lucky (and talented) can you get... more power and health to him! He came a long way from the Peanut Butter Conspiracy days. Keep it up! Thanks! Claudio
