When we visit a new county; we want to see all the sights, explore all the regions, and eat all the foods. This means that, naturally, we often get things slightly wrong on the first try. When we first arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we tried one of the National desserts: cendol! Not only did we pronounce it wrong, we ate it the wrong way (and also decided to have our cendol with durian which was probably too advanced!). In this video, we finally get our hands on a true local Cendol from Melaka (or Malacca)! All the right ingredients, the original flavour, the perfect dessert street food on a hot day! Before this, we also eat some amazing local breakfast and COFFEE!

Actually there’s no right or wrong time to eat canai.. Just have it anytime of the day and night, whenever you wish 😁

Quick tip: If you don't understand something, need help with anything, just ask the people around you. Malaysians are very helpful and accommodating. And you only have to wear a mask indoors.
  • We discovered you guys through Paddy and really enjoy your energy and enthusiasm. Can I just say there are a lot of comments and scrolling through, you reply to every single one of them. That’s passion and dedication right there 👊🏼
  • You will be going from one World Heritage city (Malacca - Dutch/Portuguese influences) to another World Heritage City (Penang - The UKs major outpost in Southeast Asia in the past). Penang is famous for its food like Asam Laksa, Pasembor, Char Kuey Teow, Nasi Kandar and more. Also the Cendol in Penang tastes different, but equally famous as the one in Melaka.
  • Kopi O - black coffee with sugar Kopi O Kosong - just black coffee Kopi - white coffee i.e with sweet condensed milk Kopi C - coffee with evaporated milk n some sugar Kurang manis - less sweet For tea, just change the word coffee/kopi with tea or locally mentioned as Teh For iced version, just add the word ice at the end...best of luck trying 🤩
  • Absolutely wonderful tour, thank you for immersing yourselves so fully in cities and cultures I have often never even heard of. You both have such a respect for wherever you visit and do a great job of showing exactly the experience adventurous visitors can expect ❤

Another lovely video from you guys full of information about Melaka, which though is not on my Malaysia itinerary beginning 7th of next month, but it feels good watching your naturally flowing presentations. Penang is on my list, so looking forward to your next video. And yeah, on your India visit, whenever that happens, I would love to see you over a cuppa tea or an lunch at my place. I m based in New Delhi. And keep on sharing your travelling experiences with the ever growing subscribers but sticking to your own spontneous style of presentation. Thank you.
  • Great to see you both exploring Malaysia, enjoying yourselves, sharing the food & dessert 🍮 🍨 scene with us! The hotel was not bad and thanks for taking us along your journey and for another awesome video 😊

14:42 The kidney beans, the green wormy things (pandan jelly aka green rice flour jelly), palm sugar (Gula Melaka) and coconut milk are actually the main ingredients in cendol! So it's normal to see kidney beans in cendol. Have a great time!
  • @NickiAfsari

  • @AkatDeen

  • @solehsolehsoleh
Penang is an English name for the state of Pulau Pinang in Malay, so it's pronounced as an English word.
  • @jgb4unme1
