As a German, I can maybe help some people here understand what Gunther actually said to Ludwig: Before he started chopping him he basically said how Ludwig embarrassed him After that he always ordered Ludwig to put his hands behind his back and as soon as he chopped him he yelled "Steh auf!" over and over which basically means "Stand up!". He also said over and over how Ludwig embarrassed him and that he should always put his hands down so Gunther can chop him some more to teach him a lesson
