Roberta in the anime is literally the quiet kid in school, nothing special on the outside and nothing wrong, but on the inside she literally puts on the forces and catches everyones fade.

The funniest shit is: The episode where Roberta debuts is perfectly named: "MAID TO KILL"

The three strongest women in this series should be in the round table tbh Balalaika the Brains, Revy the Brawns and and Roberta the Berserker 💀

What makes Roberta telling Revy her bootlaces are untied funnier, is that Revy's boots are always untied and Revy herself even says she isn't gonna fall for that... But she does anyway 😂😂😂😂

Notice how revy was pretty much untouchable until Roberta showed up. And then Roberta proceeded to knock her out in 10 God damn seconds.

As Colombian, I think they did a great job. First, there are a lot of women in their ranks (if you see other guerrillas), and they suffer a lot, due to they are enlisted (not necessary by force, but cause there is no option, because poverty, isolation and there is any option to progress), at a young age, they have to suffer not only the same training as any male, but also they have to serve sexually their superiors, they have to do abortions or be killed if they refuse. So, they got their mind far twisted than a male insurgent, and you can see that in combat or terrorist attacks. If you talk with Colombian soldiers ( I had to due to my job), they will tell you that women are the most sadistic and dangerous insurgent in FARC ranges (also FARC, is the most dangerous guerrilla in America).Moreover, during the combat in season 3 we can see that she was a "Pisa suave", that is an elite unit of the FARC, that are trained for stealth mission, they are trained to survive in the jungle at a young age, naked (cause clothes and shoes are noisy), no food, no water, only explosives and a gun called "Mata policias" or police killer, that shoots projectiles that break through Kevlar (as we see in the anime). The rate of mortality is very high, but the survivors are the deadliest killers in FARC ranges. Finally, she lives in Venezuela, the only place where an ex-FARC (because, nobody wants to go to Cuba), could try a normal life. I think that they did a great job about the background of Roberta, especially the disappointed about revolutionist Ideals and how they start to traffic drugs to generate profits.

Roberta is such a menace to society, they gave a whole SEASON dedicated to her (I basically call that ova series a new season)

Roberta single-handedly turned black lagoon from an action anime to a straight-up horror movie whenever she is on screen.

The fact that they had to nerf her is crazy, she actually NEVER GOT INJURED, but they had to redo her character for whatever reason. ROBERTA DID ALL OF THAT AND WALKED AWAY WITHOUT A SCRATCH, SHES A TRUE DEMON (a true maid of black air force energy).

Despite Roberta loosing enough stuff that she can now cosplay as a pirate, I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that it was all intentional so she can put an entire cache of hidden weapons inside of the missing parts. Like her false leg is secretly a minigun or some shit.
