So if I can’t eat and drink while driving, what’s the point of drive thru’s?

1:36 Yeah this stuff is called number coding and it’s meant to keep rush hour (the period of time when the roads are trafficked due to lots of people coming back home from work) not as crowded as it is. 1-2: Banned on Mondays. 3-4: Banned on Tuesdays. 5-6: Banned on Wednesdays. 7-8: Banned on Thursdays. 9-0: Banned on Fridays. I’ve experienced this as a Filipino myself and usually my parents have to decide with which car to choose per day.

In the Philippines, it is called the "number coding" scheme. It is only applied on Mondays to Fridays, and not weekends and holidays. The coding scheme is only applied in the capital city of Manila. This means you cannot drive your car or motorcycle on the day depending on the last number on your vehicle's license plate: 1-2: Mondays 3-4: Tuesdays 5-6: Wednesdays 7-8: Thursdays 9-0: Fridays (This number coding scheme does not apply to hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles.)
