  • Ricardo is a real chad. He makes one good-looking blade, then immediately figures "I did not give it my all" and then makes a second, BETTER blade in less time, and then puts it through some harsh paces to make sure that it will stand up to any tests. And on top of it all it looks really good. Absolutely warranted confidence in his skills. He really deserved the win. It's a bit of a shame that there wasn't more of a contest, as it would have been great to see all the tests being done, but it is what it is.
  • I loved that William would tell the ones that’s lost to “come shake our hand and your opponents hand” not just like this guy “please step off the forge”
  • Many blacksmiths during final round: Panic and barely make one blade on time. Ricardo: I made two!

Ricardo's weapon was a thing of true beauty. What an incredible piece of art he made.
  • Ricardo is just that freaking good. Mr. Ricardo, we in America know your name and your work! Excellent.
  • Somehow this show has replaced Myth Busters and Battlebots as my favorite.

That damascus nagamaki was a thing of beauty.
  • Braxton's nagamaki must be the sharpest weapon in the history of the show. Amazing and scary.

3:25 "What took me hours before just took me minutes now". That's a good quote.
  • I think that Nagamaki strength test could have used some thicker bamboo. The bamboo there was about the width of the tatami mats.
  • Paul made the most beautiful Shri Gunshai I've ever seen. I knew he was going to win as soon as I saw his shape come out and later mentioned not wanting to take off more metal because it was already as light as he wanted it. The bend in testing made no never mind to me 👌
  • Can we PLEASE have Ricardo and Ben go head to head 🙏 love the show please keep it going.

One movie weapon I'd love to see on this show: Anduril, the sword of Aragorn. Any other suggestions?
  • @Arkloyd
As soon as someone mentions how heavy their entry is, you know they'll lose unless the other guy's entry breaks.
  • Know one guy that was stationed in Okinawa. He was using a metal detector to search for things in Okinawa. He got a hit, pull away the sand very carefully, Just in case it was something that might explode. He recognize the seal on the hill. He recognized the seal. He took three compass bearings on taking on land marks. He contacted the Japanese console. Told them he did not touch it. Was invited to a party. Two old jaypan people dug up a sword (he was very relieved that a grenade did not go off) What told told he had a lifetime at several at several luxury hotels. No charge for him, wife and children.

I honestly love the honour between the competitors. Losing is never easy but it can be done with respect and grace.
