Casey Clontz and his 12-year-old son were found dead in the wreckage of the house next door. In a statement, their grieving relatives say "Their smiles and laughter filled their family's and friends' hearts with joy that can never be replaced." Inside Edition's Steven Fabian has more. • I saw this video on Twitter, I was really hoping no one was home and everyone is at work. Condolensces to all lives lost, this is a terrible tragedy. I hope the investigation reveals what caused this and it can be prevented in the future.

How the hell is something like this overlooked/ignored? You built an entire neighborhood on top of a ticking bomb… they need to be held accountable. This is beyond negligence. It’s closer to murder.

Going by the lack of colour in the blast smoke it really looks like a gas explosion. The level of destruction is akin to a large amount of high explosives. But with the reports of gas wells in the area it sure looks like a major gas explosion. The whole neighbourhood needs to be isolated and removed before there's another tragedy

  • My heart goes out to the relatives of the 2 people who died😢, I can’t imagine how that must’ve felt for them to find out that 2 of their family members were killed…it’s unbearable to think about😭

A house should NEVER be built over or near something that can cause a catastrophe. Prayers to the families affected.

This is possibly the saddest story I’ve encountered in a while. My prayers go out to those affected and to the father and son that unfortunately lost their lives due to ignorance by whoever is involved with the mine, may they rest In piece

This is so sad. The poor boy had a whole life ahead of him and the father will never get to see his kids grow up, especially his son. My condolences to the sister and mother of the family. I can't believe something like this can still happen.

It took so much strength for him to report on his home town as well as his family friends. I have so much respect for him and how he delivered this segment.

Stuff like this reminds me how grateful I am that i still have both parents, all my siblings and my kid. I was taking life for granted before, and then it hit me. Ended the relationship I was in and focused on God and my family. Never know when it might be the last time you see em. Heart goes out to this family and neighborhood. Tragic

That level of devastation is horrific enough, but the fact that it happened with no warning takes it to a whole other level of terrifying.
