Synopsis: Moose is a rabid movie fan who's obsessed with his favourite celebrity action hero, Hunter Dunbar. When cheated out of his opportunity to meet Hunter, Moose gets help from a photographer who knows how to find celebrity homes. When Moose's actions begin to take a darker turn, Dunbar soon finds himself at the mercy of his increasingly dangerous stalker.

If there's any possible reason not to love John Travolta, I haven't found it yet. 😍I realize most of us had never heard of this movie because it was originally on DVD via RedBox. How sad is that? I hadn't used Redbox since around 2010/2011. To top of the disappointment that we didn't get to view John Travolta in all his giftedness is the fact that The Fanatic earned $3,153 from 52 theaters in the U.S. on its opening day, making it a US box-office failure (according to its Wikipedia page). 😲 Well, thank you @Quiver Distribution Movies for bringing this to us on YouTube... for FREE!😃

Man he really breathes life into what may have been a stagnant idea, moulding and caressing that character, until it fit him like a finely tailored suit! Epic performance!

This is a role i never would have expected Travolta to play. An autistic ,mentally deranged psycho stalker. Hes usually a tough guy. Just goes to show how diverse his acting skills are . Great drama. Unexpected ending .

Where has this little gem been hiding for the last few years? Great movie and Travolta knocks it outtas the park with his portrayal of "Moose". What a great actor Vinnie Barbarino turned out to be!

I thought John Travolta did a great job. Very believable as a special needs person. I had a lot of compassion for his character.

Devon Sawa did a really good job at the end. You could see his character come face to face with his own vanity and shallowness as it died. (That's as good as I can describe it.)

Fun fact: Travolta was initially offered the role of FORREST GUMP, but turned it down and Tom Hanks (obviously) got the part. "It was one of the biggest mistakes of my career."

Travolta played an fantastic role as Moose. He really got into his character and had me on his side. This movie had me on edge at times too. Very well done! Thank you for sharing, glad I saw this.
