You can tell that Brooke is not used to someone being that real with her. Drew gets DEEP and it’s everyone’s honor.
  • Drew is an IMPECCABLE talk show host as well as conversationalist. She talks when necessary and then REALLY listens. Seems like such a comfortable environment for the guests. What a great interview.

"I was made to feel culpable. ... You victim-shame yourself." This is so powerful. All women need to hear this.
  • EMPATHY. COMPASSION. HUMANITY. This is what Drew brings to TV, and I'm so grateful for her and Brooke's vulnerability. This was very healing.

If Britney ever comes out and shares her story (of course if she doesn't want to she doesn't owe us anything), I think it should be with Drew. She empathizes and is so vulnerable yet supportive and strong! I love her <3
  • That was intense. It's amazing seeing women speaking truth to each other and allowing us to hear it.

Drew’s killing it. This interview is so raw. Give her the Emmy’s

I was so uncomfortable but so enthralled. It felt like I was 8 years old eavesdropping on a conversation between my mother and one of her best friends talking about adult things I didn't understand but so badly wanted too. The amount of raw emotion between these two women was so powerful. I can never speak on their experiences but to see the resilience and strength of these two who were victimized as children in hollywood and yet managed to survive when so many others died speaks on their ability to adapt and keeping moving forward.

We need part 2. This is so riveting. When I watched the documentary I was like she has to come on Drew’s show. Like there's no one more qualified to talk to Brooke about such a sensitive topic!

I started to tear up when they were talking about their reactions to the "me too" movement. The things these women have been through break my heart.

Drew is the queen of forming deep connections. She forges ahead where others fear to tread. Sometimes it doesn't quite work, but when it DOES it is so MAGICAL. Isn't that what we all long for? To connect with others in a soulful way and form deep friendships? I hope this becomes more common practice in our culture. Skip past all the formality and small talk and just be real and raw and open-hearted. It is such a wonderful, healing thing.
  • “You victim shame yourself.” As a survivor/thriver of sexual abuse, a thousand times yes!! The brain creates these pathways to help us survive, and healing work can unravel the guilt and shame. Healing, in its many iterations is da bomb! (My favorite healing modality is transpersonal hypnotherapy with a trauma informed therapist). 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Such an emotional interaction between these two… which brought loads of bad memories for them and myself, probably for so many others as well. 😢

I love how Drew does not believe in "Personal Space" haha but I absolutely just love her. She actually LISTENS to her guests and seems genuinely NICE.

I think it's important to acknowledge that you can be a victim of a crime or of abuse and not have that become your identity or a" victim mentality". Sometimes people want to be referred to a 'survivor', and that's fine, but sometimes not all of you survives. Honestly think that term, "victim-mentality" is way of shaming women for feeling angry or ever talking about their pain. It's not the same as "playing the victim" if you actually had great harm done to you. It ends up letting the abusers off the hook. They feel no remorse. Then the abused or violated person carries this tremendous pain around all their life because they're afraid of what those dark feelings would do to them if unleashed. Not all anger is toxic. Self compassion and processing pain is not "self pity". It is a necessary part if healing and self advocacy.

Just sitting here watching the video to no sound...that affection isn't fake..they genuinely care about each other even through body language...it was so sweet and I genuinely think Drew Barrymore is a beautiful person. We need to display more love and empathy for each other.. maybe if we replace hate envy jealousy coattail riding all of our low vibrational energy with unconditional love and understanding of others journey. Accountability goes so far... thanks ladies! I appreciate seeing this episode

The "me too" question was genius! And exactly why Drew has such a successful show.
