  • A recent transatlantic red eye I used a Cabeaux neck pillow- game changer. I went for an aisle seat for the extra rest point. I made my own amenity pack which I took to the loo to do as near to my usual bedtime routine as possible. Then once I was done, I went back to my seat, got myself as comfy as possible- seat buckle visible over blanket- neck pillow, eye mask (concave pads on eyes), audio book I was really familiar with (so it felt like a bedtime story) set to run 45 minutes. And I was asleep before I knew it. I usually NEVER sleep on planes.

I definitely agree with checking what the weather will be like on arrival. My last trip we left 4° Edinburgh and landed in 37° Melbourne. I was extremely grateful I had checked and dressed appropriately. I always pack a wide scarf to use as a cover or pillow when needed, as well as headphones and chapstick.

I enjoyed the content, but the music was distracting when it played as you spoke.

A light, thin pullover hoodie is my favourite travel attire. You can use that front pocket to hold your phone, headphones, glasses and snacks!
  • I fly overseas at night window seat. I ask not to be woken until 1 hr before landing. I do notbeat on board and sleep the entire trip. No jet lag, no digestive problems, ready to start a new day overseas.
