What was at one point a speedrun that started off as something largely ignored due to recording and hardware issues, among other things, would slowly turn into one of the most difficult to beat world records of all time. This is the World Record History of New Super Mario Bros. DS.

  • "Even though I've been waiting for over a year, this was definitely worth the wait" me probably, after I watch watched this video
  • @Memetastic
Feels like every game just has a huge speedrunning community in the background.
  • @EdwardoFE
30:04 the timing of him slamming something in the background as the in-game screen shakes is hilarious.
  • @Uhhhhh1188
Hopefully, Connor01 sticks around longer. Personally, I don't want to have to wait a year for another video.

One of the most underrated and high-quality channels on YouTube
  • @spicy_noodle5
That was an awesome video, glad I could help out with it and also be a part of this game's amazing journey!

Was never a die hard mario fan but had a DS when i was younger and i actually played this Mario probably 20+ times so very excited to watch this video as it will be very nostalgic for me
  • @sirrealism7300
Its sweet that you open this video with a literal goblin screaming at his nintendo DS in the middle of a black dungeon.
  • @henrynutsy
I love how a guy named pidgey has a farfetch'd in the background of his splits also a pretty cool video 28:13
  • @albinofroggy
I see he's found some free time outside of editing Atrioc videos. Hope this one is as good as the other two!
  • @thenogster
Awesome editing and writing! I'm not involved in any speedrunning community myself, but I can't get enough of these videos documenting world record histories.
  • @lj_bryson
Glitch Man 24 now has the world record again with 22m 29s 667ms Just incase anyone wanted to know
  • @minusonetwelfth
I had a feeling this category had much more to it than what I already knew, great vid Connor. Also q warp is like the least menacing name for the most menacing trick in the run lol
  • @mudkipsr5663
The best WRP videos are the ones that motivate players to obsolete the video. And that's exactly what happened. Glitch got a 22:29.
  • @Joey-nt4xr
Bro I love your other 2 videos! It got me back into speedrunning nsmbw, I know I'll love this one too <3
  • @ProNoahh
Amazing video! I’ve watched runs of this game but I didn’t know how much crazy tech there is.
  • @sbryann
Can’t wait for another banger from this channel, you could fr turn this into a career
  • @Composer_Piggy
Man that’s so crazy. I spent a week trying to get into speedrunning this game back in 2016.59 see this progress now makes me want to get back into it and learn all the glitches and tight movement. Great video!
  • @brettvetter
Such a great video that explains the history extremely well! Looking forward to the future content you will provide, and already super impressed with what you've made so far!
