Welcome to our first vlog of 2023. It didn't start exactly as we hoped but we think it's important to share the lows as well as the highs! In this video, we share the scary situation that led us to figure out that there was a problem with our twin baby boys, we start our bedroom transformation with some paneling and we see in the new year as a family of 4 :) If you enjoy this video then hit the thumbs up and subscribe.

We hope you are having a great start to the year! Let us know if you enjoyed the video in the comments šŸ¤šŸ™ŒšŸ»
  • The best thing you can do is make noise while the babies are sleeping. Thatā€™s exactly what we did and our kids could sleep through anything and anywhere. On the other hand my sisters whole house stopped and it had to be silent while her kids slept. As you know getting anything done has to happen when the babies are sleeping. I ran the vacuum in the same room and they slept through it. Yā€™all are doing great, keep it up!!!
  • Seeing you cry Ell with the Mum guilt made me tear up šŸ˜¢, you are both doing an amazing job but that emotion of wanting to protect our babies is overwhelming isnā€™t it. You have a lovely family, the boys are very lucky to have two parents who clearly adore them the way you do šŸ’™
  • Made me well up when Ellen started crying about the boys, must be so stressful šŸ˜« you two are doing amazing for your boys :) just remember everyday is a learning day with a new baby šŸ™‚
  • Omg Ellen crying at the boys being poorly literally has me in tears. Please donā€™t cry or be upset, I know itā€™s hard but you tried everything youā€™d had been advised first šŸ˜¢ you did what everyone else would ā¤ xxxx
  • El crying when the boys settled for the first time after moving to Aptimel Pepti had me in tears. My son who is 10 weeks old is also on Aptimel Pepti and the relief you feel when you realise they are no longer uncomfortable and in pain is indescribable. I felt all of her emotion in the moment itā€™s so mentally & physically draining when you baby/babies are like that. ā¤ xx

As a tip from a Nicu nurse we use aptamil pepti JR which is this- most babies struggle to take to this and a tip we use is to make its warm, not room temp as otherwise they donā€™t entertain it. some babies love it hotter than normal on Nicu. Also it does make there stools smell fyi šŸ˜‚

I feel for you guys! My second son had to go onto soya bean milk but it took nearly 6 months and a hospital stay to finally get there. Hang in there, your boys are precious šŸ’—
  • @CaseyAdelle
Aptamil pepti 1 changed my daughter! Much happier baby :) rash on eyebrows and belly disappeared, no more discomfort, it took 2 weeks for me to see the full effect as thatā€™s how long it takes for the other milk to leave the system x
  • So glad someone saw what you've struggled with for so long! Here's to healthy, growing, happy babies!!
  • ā¤ā¤ā¤ You guys are doing great! I totally understand your tears Ellā€¦ itā€™s hard to see your kids in distress. Unfortunately it doesnā€™t get easier no matter how old they are. We all want to take their discomfort/stress away. Keep up the great parentingā€¦ you two make quite a great team. ā¤ā¤ā¤

I remember the anxiety of being a first time parent wellā€¦ they are so precious and every little thing is brand new so you donā€™t know what to expect or think. You are doing a great job! My son was in hospital when he was two weeks old because he had pyloric stenosis and had to have an operation to repair it. It was the scariest time of my life, so I really felt for you when you explained the feeding issues and the scary experience with Ari being unable to breathe. I am so sorry your boys are having a hard time, I hope they are doing better now! Itā€™s lovely to see them grow, thank you for sharing your journey with us all! X

My 8 month old son has milk protein allergy and we didnā€™t figure it out until he was 4 months old. It is all so hard and youā€™re both doing so well! Know that you are ā¤ļø

I hope the boys continue to improve, I can only imagine how frightened, upsetting and frustrated you were feeling Ell. I was only saying a couple days ago how miraculous it is when babies are born. Going from the environment of the amniotic sac and fluid to the outside world of learning to breathe air with their little lungs going through a huge transition, virtually instantly. So your absolutely right Ell. I haven't heard of the fourth trimester before but yes, again your absolutely right. Most babies don't have the feeding issue when they're breastfeeding. Fingers crossed that whatever formila you have the boys on now, that it works so you can all get some much needed rest. Love their new clothes.
  • I'm so glad the boys are doing better šŸ’“ šŸ’• šŸ’—
  • So glad they are better itā€™s so hard in the beginning I remember them days bless them xx
  • Good to see you all getting out for walks with the babies. Great for everyone! Thanks for the update!!
  • Aww I'm so glad that the boys are improving, you guys are doing the best job so don't ever feel bad you're great parents.
