I am almost 50 years old and although I played about 10 year ago for the first time, I took a break for almost 9 years. Your video on the basics was monumental in helping me get better distance and I plan on practicing my approach shot today. Thank you so much for taking the time to help those of us who needed help with the mechanics of this wonderful sport.

I like it when you call me Scott Papa, Throw your discs in the air, If you's a disc golf playa!!!

You are absolutely correct on the "different distance for different people" thing so it is truly hard to narrow that down. I am a longer putter than most and will generally use a putting motion from about 75-80 feet and in. However, from 75 to 125 I may try to "play catch" with the basket and use a little nose up air bounce toss at the target as if I was trying to throw a disc to friend and not have him move. After that, I am trying to get the disc as close to the basket as possible-approach.

@rhino111191 Thanks! You may very well be the first person that has ever given me kudos for talking. Usually everyone is trying hard to figure out how to get me to just be quiet for a moment. Talk to you more soon!

Always a thumbs up! Great addition, Scott. All of the Discraft Clinic videos are going to be big time classics, one day.

Scott Papa, love your vids, even after 12 year throwing they're a good refresher. You ever make it to KC look up the Mango, I'll buy the Whiskey.

How does he throw with such power as buttery as he does? It looks fantastic. I'm a scratch golfer and have just really got into this and am EXTREMELY fascinated
  • That was very helpful my mid shot is week I'm going to use this and work at it
  • @papatarttube Looking good Scott! noticed you were slimming down too! Thanks for the videos, please keep them coming! I too am looking forward to the sidearm tutorial for approaches.
  • @papatarttube
@CaptnCrohns Darn straight! You have no idea how hard it is to keep my legs out of the sun for long enough to get them pasty white and then hit the sun with the proper sun blocking socks. Thanks for noticing as I am a fiend when it comes to high fashion tanning.
  • @jptDrEaMeR
