The Umarex TR50 11 Joules .50 Caliber C02 Revolver is hard hitting at over 450 fps, has multiple projectile choices including pepper ball rounds and has 5 quick change 6 rd magazines. We test accuracy, velocity, clear ballistic gel blocks and a watermelon to see what it will do. It was pretty impressive. #TR50 #Umarex #50caliber

Big thanks to Fiocchi USA for Supplying our ammunition!

  • People joking about it being less than lethal or not a real firearm I doubt would voluntarily step in front of it. 400 fps is nothing to joke around about and definitely lethal

You can increase the power by about 2-3x if you remove the CO2 restrict or and change out the barrel. Both can be done with a jewelers screwdriver
  • This is a great option for those who live in apartments or condominiums, due to potential over-penetration issues with regular firearms. After all, you don’t want to harm or eliminate loved ones or any innocent people. God bless you, sir, long live the Republic, and Merry Christmas!

Not for nothin, but the devastators don't expend more gas, it's just the same amount of gas pushing more weight. The gun is designed to put out a fixed volume of gas with each shot. Also as the total volume of gas in the cylinder decreases, it can effect how much gas becomes available in the chamber for your next shot. Temperature is a factor with these guns too. As the CO2 cools down the components of the gun, the density of the gas decreases and reduces power a bit. Great video though. Very informative as to the power and capability of these guns. We have one for home defense ourselves. We chose this over a more traditional handgun not because firearms aren't available (we live in TN), but because I feel it helps eliminate the hesitation factor. If you're hesitant about the idea of killing someone, a less lethal option might make it easier for you to pull the trigger when you really should.

As a single woman (living just outside Chicago) I learn so much about personal protection from you and the audience comments. Thank you for all the great information. It's much appreciated!

As an ex felon in California from 1997..I have this gun and love it. I'm amazed how powerful it is ..along with my Umarex Air Saber I'm set for home protection ....TIP...I spray a little WD-40 on the devastator pellets and they fly out of there... great video 👍

I recently used one of these in a self defense situation here in LA. I've had it since May of this year. I carry it in my van with a fresh co2 and with 4 loaded cylinders, Two with what are called Devastator BBs in a Sabot and Hard Nylon rounds, and one in the gun with devastators. I Fired 4 shots of the Devastator rounds center mass at them and my attacker backed away and fled from the scene really quick. I had my Cold Steel Luzon as a backup but I didn't need to resort to it. It works. It definitely works for self defense. I wouldn't never recommend it over a gun but I definitely recommend it for us who want to be lawful in LA of all places.

Hey PEOPLE LISTEN UP!!! Saw this video and went on Amazon to see if it was available there. Of course, I always read the review section extensively before making any purchase. Time and time again, people were complaining of this very CO2 gun blowing up, with no fault of the user. Apparently, there have been instances where the CO2 cartridges fill up the tank (unintentionally), and when the pressure goes too high, the reservoir blows up. People have had damages to their car windows, household sheetrock, and one reviewer got a broken jaw (allegedly). There are many accompanying fotos of the damaged guns on Amazon. Of course, a lot of people had nothing but positive experiences. However the negative ones, were pretty bad. Don’t want to see anyone getting hurt, so I had to share this info.

You have enlightened me thank you very much. Your deals are top-notch and very honest. Much appreciated.
  • I got the same Umarex .50 and the main reason for the plastic surface of devestator rounds is to protect the barrel. Like it says in the website i ordered it: "The usage of the steel balls will damage your device. If you want to get more penetration with your self defense gun buy the smaller cal option, there are automatic choises with 30 rounds capasity like .25 that are actually fatal. If you want to pick a self defense C02- weapon, there`s a "sawed off shotgun" wersion out there (manuafactured that way) and the steel balls will reck it.

I have one of these and it's so much fun! You can fire ceramic balls for maximum damage, the steel balls are too heavy and the CO2 doesn't have enough power to get any velocity out of them. The ceramic balls are very light and very hard. You can alternate pepper balls and ceramic balls and really provide something better than nothing. If you just like to shoot at pop cans and random stuff around the house the rubber balls are awesome

Love that PVC target stand. I came up with that back in the 90's cheap, easy to fix, light, dissasemble by pulling the virticle apart from the base and put the 2 pieces in the truck. Easy stow also.

Thank you for showing this option for those who do not have a way to defend their home and family. I just made an order for one.
  • @SquashyNO.1
Amazing review video by the way. very quick yet straight to the point with all the vital information we would need to make a choice & covering all the bases of the use of the firearm. 👍
  • @iliketowatch.
(4:12) The advantage of being able to not pierce the cartridge and not pressurizing the gun until you're ready to use it is that air guns will gradually leak air and lose pressure if they sit there unused.

So thankful that I was born in the USA! I truly hope our friends across the pond can win their rights back : )

Amazing eye-opening review! I had no idea this existed. Thank you!

I got the Stinger 2 compact pistol crossbow for home defense. I modified it to be able to shoot those gold bolts. The modifications made the crossbow more reliable, as well. I feel confident this crossbow will do a good job for home defense. I will buy a gun eventually, but this will do for now.
