Three Things You Need to Know Before Relocating to Miami

David Siddons (CEO of the David Siddons Group and Director of Luxury Sales at Douglas Elliman Real Estate) and his wife Luciana Fragali (CEO of Interior Design Firm; Design Solutions) discuss three things you need to know before moving to Miami.

Reach out to them to learn everything there is to know about Miami Real Estate or Interior Design (they might also be able to give you some advice on Miami's schools)

Three things you need to know when you are relocating to Miami:
1 Miami is not on sale! The Miami real estate market is booming. In the prime markets close to the best schools (Coconut Grove and Coral Gables) we are actually seeing a shortage in supply and a very high demand (You are not the only one who is moving!). As mentioned in the video, in case you come from LA or NYC, Miami might certainly feel like a bargain.
2. Buying a remodeled vs a "ready-to-move-in" unit. The pros and cons of remodeling or buying a fully remodeled home/unit. Also be careful not to pay the price of a custom home for a spec home
3. Don't believe all you see on TV. Remodeling processes take long, finding a good home might take long, contracts aren't always negotiated in 10 minutes.

All great points and it’s true, Miami isn’t on sale, it can’t grow out because of the geographical limitations, but demand is still high and land low. And definitely, I watched the shows too and I’ve flipped my own house and it took a solid 6 months months for the main work and a few more months to finish the final details, but things just take sooo much time down here. Especially with getting permits and even looking and finding the right contractor (s) if people go that route. But good realistic tips, love your channel!

This is BS. Miami is on sale. There's so much over build there. I see price drops every week from realtors on properties. The biggest problem with Miami is over build and too many speculators and flippers who don't actually live there. They have no concept of the real market.
