Acting is often misconceptualized as being dramatic and overdoing or exaggeration of emotions whereas it is most believable in utter real state. To act is to actually feel the emotion and be real with it. Not be loud and show what your body is not actually feeling.

  • depending on the character, one of them could be more emotional and the other could be less emotional (lots of people are saying it’s not about being less or more emotional and you correct i just worded it wrong. Basically, people show emotion differently and so while one would be more expressive with their emotions another could be less expressive with the SAME emotions)

Its actually two types of acting, it depends on where are you presenting. The left side focused on micro expressions that are perfect for television or a digital media because we have the hability to stay pretty close to the character and so we can notice minimal changes, while the right one is focused on a more theatrical expression, in a theater we cant reallly see the faces of the actors most of the time because its pretty far away, so this results in the actors expressing the emotions through their bodies so the audience can understand whats happening and what are the characters feeling. Both are beautiful ways of acting and both deserve recognition ❤❤
  • That awkward moment when you're literally the second one 💀 I'm a very animated person and can't imagine being mad and not throwing my hands everywhere LOL
  • @Ashkyedo
"What people think acting is" continues to be my mom telling me to quit something or blaming me for something I can't control
  • @lk2001mk
    Tv-acting vs theater acting 🎭🥰
  • They can both be used for acting actually, although more expressive emotions are used for theatrical experiences
  • @keil764
One of my old acting professors had an acting axiom that always stuck with me: "don't just do something, stand there".
  • @jaddeee
nahh both are acting, but usually the tiktoks made it like that so you can tell the context in only 30-40 secs, i actually study theatre and we are used to over-act when we dont have time (sorry for the shitty english, spanish is actually my first language so i try my best!)
  • @robert661
both are acting, just different personalities
  • @adammaher403
People think acting is when you act but actually it's when you be an actor Thank you, thank you
  • Screen acting vs theatre acting. Both are great, it just depends on what it’s for.
  • Both are acting, one is movie acting and the other is *highschool musical theatre acting
  • IT👏DEPENDS👏ON👏THE👏CHARACTER idk why people just disregard the whole entire character they’re playing
  • @hibashi2666
every time i act i just act like how the character would act at my place and if listen to people i'm gud
  • Tiktok acting reminds me of my time in the theater. In the theater, actors often have to use crazy expressions because of the number of people in the audience. It’s not that they're not capable of doing subtle acting, it’s that they have to allow people, whether in the way back or way front, to see how they feel. That’s obviously not the only reason it happens, but it’s one of the reasons.
  • The vibes I’m getting is someone who is expressing their hurt in an explosive way vs just deep cold hate
  • @Pluto_onpawz
Finally someone knows the difference between TikTok pov acting and actual movie acting
  • It’s really how you say the line with body language. Also, the one on the right is literally just my dad because the amount of talking with his hands he does is actually insane.
