Once you get basic three chord blues down, there are many places to go from there. A natural direction is to add a little cIass and sophistication with "jazz chords". We zoom in on a handful of these chords here. I love teaching this subject. The great Bob Thompson taught me a lot about it and I am inspired also by Josh Smith's work in this field.

Maybe in future tutorials we'll look at this from a melodic/improvisational standpoint. Here are the diagrams and progressions I played:
