Markets Weigh Up Trump, JD Vance 2024 Win | Bloomberg The Pulse 07/17/24

Published 2024-07-17
Another former Trump critic and once rival has decided to stand behind the former President for the White House in 2024. Overnight, former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley gave her endorsement of Donald Trump in a speech at the RNC in Milwaukee. Haley wasn’t originally scheduled to speak at the convention but agreed to after her team and Trump’s discussed her appearing at the event in recent days. She urged Republicans to sway more people to their side, saying “we’re so much better when we’re bigger,” and that voters need not to "agree 100%" with Trump to vote for him.

  • Donald Trump jokes you can tell to your mother: When Little Donald was in grade three, he learned to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. He’d use it to incite food fights in the cafeteria. What did little Donald do when he received the honor of reading the ‘prayers of the day.’ He promised to make First Presbyterian great again. When did baby Donald enter his ‘terrible twos’? When he first realized he was paying too much. When did baby Donald throw tantrums? When his red bibs were all in the wash. Why did little Donald always go to school with skinny kids? He’d had them all convinced to invest their lunch money in real estate. Why was little Donald always so boring on Halloween? He always went as the scariest thing he could think of. A liberal policy analyst. These jokes are not protected by copyright. More humor like this in Rushmore II by Roddy Thorleifson.

Trump's biggest failure as a political leader is that he sees the worst in people, and he encourages the worst in people. J. D. Vance
