To everyone who's worried. This video was made with good fun. All the things in it are exaggerated to be funny. It's actually awesome here, we just work really hard.

I walked under the bell tower several times in total defiance. My 2-year Masters' program lasted 3 years. Good luck.

Back in high school when I first watched this video, the burger thing for the dining courts kinda went over my head... Now I understand... I understand completely...
  • @mooselover5
starting Purdue in 2 months.... eh can't turn back now
  • @TheWiggelsworth
this is 10x better than what the official Purdue channels are shooting and releasing

Awesome video guys! My daughter is a Sophomore at Purdue, Chemical Engineering. They were actually able to sled down Slater hill for a few days last year, so that reference was cool. My daughter loves Purdue! Take the classes seriously from day 1 and you will do okay. One thing to remember: When you get to Purdue, you are no longer the smartest person in the room. Embrace it and learn.

Purdue PSA: watch out at night for Squabbits. They are demon rabbits that hide in the skins of squirrels during the day and hop around looking for people to eat during the night.

I graduated from Purdue as an engineer and had three job offers. If you want to go to a university where achievement is based on actually doing something versus lower standards and false praise, it’s the place for you. Otherwise go to a different college where you can crawl into your safe space and still rack up debt. Regarding the weather, if you don’t like or can't tolerate snow and cold don’t come to the Midwest. Go Boilers!!!

I watched this video the summer before I started Purdue. Fast forward to two years later, I must say: the homework aspect is pretty accurate. However Purdue is definitely more exciting than portrait in this commercial lol

Boiler up that blood pressure and hammer down your GPA. This is so relatable. '22
  • I walked under the bell tower on my STAR day. Last week I CODO-ed from Bio into Pre-pharm and signed up for an additional two years on top of the standard four. Beware where you walk.
  • @kristinay2923
why is this not the official video for Purdue 😂😂 10/10 most accurate commercial ever
  • Purdue is really good. If you wanna have fun, there is ton of stuff for you.If you wanna study, purdue has a peaceful academic environment too. Proud to be a boilermaker. Boiler Up!

Watching this right before accepting my admission... sick
  • A friend of mine who was a crew chief at Purdue watched this and told me that the sandy-haired, utterly demoralized and seemingly numb kid/character who tries to sled down Slayter Hill is disturbingly similar to a student who used to work for him.
  • One time, in the middle of a Heart and Soul choir concert, the Boilermaker train/car thing went by blasting music, so that was fun.
  • To all the worried incoming freshman, don't get yourself worked up too much. The best advice I have as a freshman is to get involved on campus in clubs and greek life, make the most of BGR, talk to your professors, and learn how to take advantage of your time here! Don't stress about having a 4.0 gpa, especially if you're in engineering because it's not attainable by almost everyone. Each class at Purdue takes effort and time to do well. That being said, I can confidently tell you that most nights of the week I have time to enjoy myself. Boiler Up!

LOVED IT. HONESTY masquerading as satire. BRILLIANT ! (they'll never see through our evil plan.) I walked under the bell tower once in junior high in 1971 and didn't get my M. Ed. till I was FORTY ! AND , at a completely different school ! Yikes.
