Hair Used: MAYDE Cuban Twist Braid- amzn.to/2PiZAol (3-4 packs, I used 3)
*** More about this hair: I mentioned in my initial impression that this hair is pretty hard and rough, and after wearing it for I awhile, I've found that it is too rough! It's not the longest lasting crochet hair I've tried, and I am not sure that I would recommend this brand. I bought it online and wish I had gotten it in store and could feel it before I bought it. Kinky crochet can last you up to over 1 or 2 months if you get the right hair. I know I've personally kept crochet hair in for over 2 months before, but I don't think I can do that with this particular brand!

These are some hair packs that I have never tried myself personally, but have been recommended by my friends:

By Outre (1-2 packs, slightly more coily, less kinky, but softer) : amzn.to/3hGPlHl
By Freetress (3-4 packs needed, same texture) : amzn.to/2YNI1SH
By Janet collection (see amazon reviews) : amzn.to/2LAqom7

Also, this crochet install from 3 years ago with hair from Janet Collection lasted me two months, but the hair was shorter and I never ran my fingers through it or anything, I just left it. The texture was also a bit different from this video, but it lasted:

Best crochet tip ever was when you said do the front first and then the back. That’s where I was messing up. Thanks.
  • So dope! I've been doing this style too for a long time and my mom thought it was all my hair. Like "girl.. what genes are you channeling.. because I know our family don't grow hair like this. LOL!" She really thought it was my natural hair. I love this. I was like beweavable! I love the 3 month wait. My goal is 8-10 inches all the way around.
