I take my teenage sons on a winter hike every year. We only go on the trail for a few miles, camp, and then hike back. They really love it. Someday we will go farther but I have diabetic neuropathy on my feet so I have to pump my self up with ibuprofen to help with the pain.

Did you go to Tuxedo and into Harriman? Iβm on Long Island and I hike there and camp. Beautiful place. I have a snowmobile house in Maine now and thatβs where I hot tent. I might hit Harriman for one before I go up. Thatβs a cool set up. πβ€οΈπΊπΈβοΈβοΈ

Loved that intro. We're big fans of trains around here, but the best we've done is hike to a nice day spot beside the tracks. I'll have to figure out a way to ride the rails to a good spot. Looks like it was an awesome day. Looking forward to more about your stove and jack! Thanks for sharing!

I could have used that tent on my winter adventure! It would be nice to cook some normal food. Very good winter video! I'm not too sure about sticking my head in ice cold water.lol

Ahhh NJ Transit to good old Metro North.. Looks like a great time. I like that GoLite shelter you have.. I need to put a stove jack into mine, because I want to use my ammo can stove (which looks about the same size as your stove there) in the tent. Nice vid!
