“I know it’s a bit scuffed” My brother in Christ, this all came from a single grass block. I think you’re okay 😭😭

Name the glowstone 'Sirius' (the name of the brightest star in the nightsky) as its light shall illuminate this world for all days to come and give us hope in our darkest days
  • @FlyingCapy
You can use snow blocks and a pumpkin seed from wandering trader to create a snowman and grind snowblocks in light speed for further builds or farms
  • "The first light source" That giant square in the sky: "Am I a joke to you?"
  • @pvic6959
17:15 its so funny to me that getting an infinite source was so difficult but you did everything else haha
  • I find it absolutely hysterical how little BudgetMonk actually knows about the game and he of all people is the one to do the most insane challange Ive ever seen lmao. Love this series, you're awesome Budget.
  • I usually assume there's some creative mode trickery going on with these types of xxx days videos. But I have no doubt you are suffering for months to genuinely do this. Legend.

This series recaptures the Let’s Play magic of early 2010s mc ❤ edit: maybe you can place a wolf in the drowned farm to filter skeletons
  • Just a tip for infinite water sources in snowy biomes! If you place four stairs in a 2x2 square, so there is a gap in the center where the stairs dip down, and then water-log the stairs, you have a reliable infinite water source that will never freeze since ice can't occupy the same space as the stairs, but water can! On a similar note, you can also place trapdoors at the openings to the water columns going down to the Drowned killing chamber, as water-logged trapdoors also prevent the water from freezing!
  • this is my favorite challenge of all time in Minecraft, not only because of how hard it is, but it requires really extensive knowledge about technical minecraft as a whole and it's very fun seeing all that knowledge in practice.
  • You can get more dirt by rightclicking rooted dirt with a shovel and then digging up the path, this also lets you get more grass blocks which means more passive mob spawns and less of a chance of losing the only grass in your world
  • @CheChece
One of the best minecraft series

9:47 how could anyone possibly wonder why it takes so long. the grind is insane. you don't speed up random tick speed to see if it could theoretically be done, you actually get it done. you have put INSANE hours into this it's so impressive

Fishing gives alot of strange items, plus will be the only way to access books. If you do, i suggest locating a jungle since it gives a new wood type. This gives access to: - Items [Bamboo, Bamboo Wood, Scaffolding, Tripwire Hooks, Cod, Salmon, Pufferfish, Tropical Fish, Name Tag, Enchanted Books, Books, Bookshelves, Lectern, Saddle, Lily Pad, Ink Sac, Black Dye]
  • 13:31 I'm pretty sure there's a way to put blocks around and above the sapling to force it to grow into a big tree, so the rng wasn't needed, but it worked out anyways
  • @DylanDaDumb
Just discovered you a few days ago, immediately got hooked and watched the whole series! I love your stuff, keep going man!

This line of playing the game is what has been missing from this era of MineCraft playing vids on YouTube. Really pushing the limit of 'what if' on a minimalist scale is incredible to see. It adds a whole new appreciation to seemingly commonplace blocks within the game that we easily take for granted. Creative, informative, interesting. I hope this gets the credit it deserves.

I don't know what it is but there is something so insanely interesting to me about making your own world in minecraft and progressing so slowly that something as simple as stone tools is insanely hard to get (harder than iron), like the idea that the whole world is all created by your own hands is just so beautiful to me
  • I would like to apologise for claiming that they wouldn't despawn in boats. Turns out wandering traders have a different despawning algorithm to almost any other mob. Unlike other mobs, they ALWAYS despawn after 48000 ticks (40 minutes) of existing, regardless of being in a vehicle. You could still put them in unloaded chunks however, and thus they would no longer exist until you loaded them again. This would also free up the wandering trader mob cap
