Chiefs fan for 55 years here. PM15 deserves all the accolades he's getting for this win. Make no mistake. To me, though, having watched hundreds of Chiefs games ... This was the greatest TEAM win I have ever seen in the history of the Chiefs franchise. Yes, PM15 is the master conductor, but 45 OTHER guys had to step their game up, and they did.

Chiefs fans already know this, but for the other fanbases, the most unheralded person in the Chiefs organization has got to be GM Brett Veach. He is a master at working the salary cap, drafts very well, sees a problem and immediately addresses it....totally the rebuilt O-line after the Superbowl LIV debacle, when due to injury that O-line was pretty much held together with baling wire and bubblegum....and put together a supporting cast after Tyreek Hill was traded away. And the Chiefs got an absolute haul of draft picks from the Dolphins in that trade. Everyone was saying how Mahomes would be exposed without Tyreek, how the Chiefs wouldn't win the AFC West, blah, blah, blah.....Chiefs had the hardest schedule in the league (based on opponents' win % from 2021).....and the Chiefs merely go on to win 14 out of 17 games, and Mahomes passed for ~5,200 yards. Tyreek who?? It's almost like nobody expected HC Andy Reid and/or GM Veach to revamp the offense in the absence of Hill and the addition of new WRs from free agency or the draft, or something.
