What kills me is the sets get the votes but they still say no.
  • If LEGO rejected these just because kids can’t play, or build it, then why did you make ideas in the first place? This is meant for adults LEGO not kids

That Steampunk Explorers build looks amazing. That as is would have been one of the better sets out there.
  • @CapeSIX
That Nautilus is so simple yet so cool

The ideas that get 10k I wish would still get instructions made. Even if you then had to spend 100 points to download the instructions. So many great sets that I could just bricklink buy if I knew how to build them. I think many of these they just didnt get made is due to piece count. Would someone spend 250$ for a 3000 piece build of the serpent in water build? Nice set, but there were a lot of little pieces to drive the price up.

The fact that Lego seems to categorically ignore all Steampunk ideas is one of the main reasons why i also buy sets from others. As a huge steampunk fan it is sad that Lego seems to have the opinion that steampunk is not lucrative enough for them to invest in

For me my most wanted rejects sets are the ones based on Ghibli movies and other anime like the Naruto set. They're always so well done but Lego keeps rejecting them.

I really like the owl house that you scrolled through at the beginning. It seems like a cool wizard/witch house for medieval themes. I'm tempted to try and replicate it from the photos, but I already have so many projects on my plate. I'm also bummed about that steampunk building. It was such a nice design.
  • No one talking about how the steampunk ship is a bigger more detailed Misfortune’s Keep from Ninjago Skybound
  • @mayadoodles7906
Not the two airships that got rejected :[ - loved both a lot & I've always wanted a lego steampunk airship set, totally would've saved up for both.
  • @legobrickhammer
Hey man, thank you for featuring two of my 10k submissions which unfortunately did not get approved. I really appreciate the kind words! But hey, I did get super lucky with my Viking Village so I am still super happy and grateful! ... and who knows maybe I will get lucky again with one of my projects that are currently in the voting stage: you should definitely check them out if you like my style ;)
  • @kingzant99
The Aladdin one probably didn't get made because Robin Williams really didn't want Disney to make Genie merch
  • @codylucas4855
Maybe if the DND pairing sells well we can get some cool airships and other forgotten realms stuff
  • @kingzant99
As a Final Fantasy fan, those airships would be so cool!
  • @macanimation2793
2:22 2000 leagues under the sea is part of the public domain. There is no copyright, no licensing or anything like of the sort required as long as it is based on the book not the movie. Its free for anyone to use
  • @AlexOvTheAbyss
I think I heard somewhere that you surrender any/all rights just submitting a build to Ideas. If that is the case, and they reject an idea, I feel like the creators should be able to still sell or release the instructions
  • Not forgetting the A-Team and Knight Rider opportunity they had the dimensions license for already - would've been ideal in the 8 stud width both got 10k votes and rejected
  • @nailzeeGer
Let's face it: Lego would've ruined those sets anyway, like they did most of the ideas sets in the recent past. Pantasy has a nice Sherlock Holmes Baker Street set btw.
