In This video I’ll be fixing 2 issues I found in the first video, there is a viewer that send me ideas that fixed the problems in a very nice fashion, if kids are to be involved it will require adult supervision, this is a great idea for a gift to introduce a child or a grandchild to steam engines. Also, if you’re not comfortable using the supplied alcohol burner supplied with the engine, you can always use some warmup candles for fondue or plate warmers.

The item got here in perfect working condition, all worked on the first try. I recommend using distilled water and fondue fuel. It’s important to empty the reservoirs after use, dry everything and add light oil on moving parts.

You can also search the site for different models available, not tested here, though...

One thing I found to be a weak point about this item, is the alcohol burner that is overflowing if filled too much, like mentioned earlier the use of a warmup candle can help making the use easier…

Total solution. I have three alcohol burner pots for models engines and they are all exactly as you have now done. They need a vent for sure. Good fix.

I think making little steam engines like these will be a great past time for me in a few decades. Lots of little fiddly bits to make to consume vast amounts of time and not an equal amount of money.
