From the oven and yet brother I am thinking your home in Ireland for a bit. I never tire of you and your videos. Still making your raisin scones and had one for supper tonight. Too tired to cook. Thanks Chris.
  • Thank you again my Irish friend for another much loved bread all of us ate with lashings of Butter and killed each other for the crust and the end of the Loaf. be well.
  • I haven’t seen a batch loaf since I left Dublin. Yummy I’m making that next week 😋

Looks Delicious Chris !!! Just like the Spicers Batch Loaf from Navan Meath where I lived 40 years ago. On my way home was Spicers Factory beside the River Boyne. Wandering home drunk as a Teenager on a Fri Night " Borrowing " a still hot Batch Loaf from one of the Vans sitting in Spicers Bakery Yard then' Spicers is all gone now I believe !!

Savage!.. love it!😅 How long for the 3rd rise, Chris? Would it work if I left the 3rd rise to do its magic overnight (10 hrs) & then in the morning, whack it in the oven?..
  • Chris may I ask if after I put into the tray can I place into the fridge overnight to bake in the morning?

Can this be made with whole meal flour Chris ? Or will the recipe need adjusted? Goodman
