He doesn’t have billions in the bank, people need to understand all his money is tied into shares of Tesla!

Equity in stock market. He is rich in paper only. Ask him how much is his bank balance?😂😂

He doesn't have wealth per say, all this is net worth, same as anyone's net worth is the potential in value

Well you got it wrong with him building PayPal. Got it wrong with him buying Tesla. He invested and manipulated himself into CEO, pushed it the actually founders and stuffed the board full of his friends so they could vote him an exorbitant pay deal where he gets a ton of shares. Plenty of idiots listened to his “by next year” promises and inflated Tesla to multiple times its actual value. Tesla also benefited vastly from government subsidies as did SpaceX. Got it wrong with the value of Tesla. It’s currently sitting at about 750 billion. Good job.

Some inaccuracies in this video. 1. The claim that he sold a video game at age 12 for any meaningful sum of money is highly disputed. It was most likely a couple hundred dollars. 2. He never bought PayPal. He ran a company that was bought by PayPal. As part of being bought, he acquired a small percentage of shares in PayPal. He was hired as CEO of PayPal and was fired for incompetence a year later. A year or so after being fired, PayPal was sold and he received his share of the money.

I like how you glossed over the fact that he had wealthy parents from apartheid south Africa
