Rainy camping videos are always cozy. There's just something about being in a (dry) tent or under a shelter like you were and just listen to the rain, have a hot meal or coffee. I usually don't mind when it rains when I'm camping and I can just read or listen to the radio. Of course, a sunny day is nice too. Happy birthday to Susie. She looked absolutely beautiful in the photos. Take care.

A belated happy birthday to Suzi. I love your camping experiences. Thank you so much for always being honest about the equipment you test. I'm a 78 year old woman who quit camping years ago for health reasons but I've learned a lot of survival tips that are so interesting. And that I can teach my great grandchildren. You are definitely a blessing to us all. Strength and Honor.

I realize for you the ultimate goal is to test the tent, but if it were me, and I've done this quite a few times when I thought the weather was going to get ugly, I would set up the tent under the tarp. Just a little bit of insurance if you're not 100% confident in your tent. I also tend to use cheap, or 2nd hand tents. Thanks for the video.

Just stumbled on this channel in the last week or so. While I am not a huge camper myself, I’ve found I really, really enjoy your videos. Great advice and tips that anyone can use to have the best trips possible whether they camp regularly or every now and then such as myself. I find it extremely interesting to watch how you set up each camp site and deal with the varying weather and things. It has become my favorite channel to watch.

I enjoy camping for many reasons. Wildlife, landscape, photography of both. But fire is a verry important part of camping to me. Even if it has to be a small one.

You are very wise about ticks. I met a gentleman in Oklahoma who was a Longhorn Cattle rancher and he ended up with both Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Lyme Disease at the same time about a year after I met him and his wife but sadly he passed-away weeks after being infected on his very ranch. So do keep watchful about ticks.

If you trap a few possums and release them on your place, the ticks should start to disappear. Possums eat lots of ticks.
