I live in Florida and got a decent amount of D2 knives and none of them have corrosion, honestly impressed with it one of my favorite steels for heavy use

My youngest son has a collection of these knives. He’s always asking for them for birthdays, Christmas or as an occasional attaboy. He recently got the neon green one for an attaboy. He saw part of your video and said his next one should be the blue one. I guess he’s going to get one in his stocking for Christmas. My oldest son made off with my first production run Boker Kalash. The two I have are the “Black Widow” colored one and the one with XHP steel. I agree with you on the finger grooves and the pocket clip.

I got one in s30 and it's sweet. 60 bucks. Great little knives. Aus8 really isn't that bad in my opinion. With some knives it's just as tough as d2 and way easier to sharpen and it's stainless. Coldsteel does a great job with the aus8A and the aus10A is terrific.

One knife collector was saying that the quality of steel in a budget friendly knife isn't as important as the heat treatment. He was saying the best steel out there isn't the best if the heat treatment isn't good. He did specify that if you're going to spend a lot of money on a knife then the higher quality steel is best but the quality of the heat treatment is vitally as important. Thank you for the review. 😎✌️

I have one with Damascus. The Damascus actually looks really nice. I have the Dessert Warrior and a mini also. These are great for the price.

Man now you are giving me ideas with the handle. I already sent it to REC but might mod after and send it back to them. It really is a fun knife for sure. Thank you :_MClogo2:

Ive literally wanted this knife since I was in the 6th grade. I’m 21 now and am finally getting around to getting one. Definitely beats the $30 OTF I got from this hippie beach store.

I love how he says the Spyderco para 3 isn’t easy to operate with one hand, then proceeds to operate it with one hand with great ease.
  • I may have missed it so I’m not sure if the left-hand version being available was mentioned. This is a heck of a good auto for the price 👍🏻

I have one in the left hand version. I’m left handed. Nice knife. The pocket clip is a little tight on the reinforced pocket of my uniform pants. If seated to the bottom it is difficult to get out in a hurry. But I like the knife. It replaced a 24 year carried S&W automatic. The S&W had guards to grab and was fast and easy to remove. It had become severely worn lock up. So it was retired.
  • I have a bunch of these and I love them so much, and for anyone who wants to know, they have a mini and original version in S30V on bladeops, and one in CTS-XHP on bladeHQ. Awesome video MC, thanks and have a good one!

I love my Boker Kalashnikov. Mine is the reverse tanto, and it's my work EDC.
  • @kevinvogler2380
My full size has a tiny bit of up and down play. My mini is rock solid even though one of the plastic washers is falling apart and the other looked to have disintegrated

I've been looking at the Boker Plus Strike for some time now and I see they are now offered in both D2 and S30V. I have never owned a blade in D2 but I have several S30V blades. I know that heat treat is obviously a major factor in steel performance, but just curious if you would pick one over the other. I wonder how Boker's heat treat on both compares to others. Just subscribed.
  • Fantastic knife. I've got 12 of them for fun, and have used the XHP version for years as an outstanding EDC.
  • @hapeeboy8186
BladeOps had the S30V Boker Strike on sale for $55 this week. Hell of a deal
  • @karito6570
Which blade type do you think would be the best all rounder? for a Kalashnikov
  • @alpine1600s
D2 makes sense on the Kalashnikov because majority of them have coated blades. AUS8 was sufficient for EDC, but the D2 will hold an edge better.
