Yes, Brees started his career as a Charger. A few years in, he was good not GREAT. After a shoulder injury the Chargers decided to move on. Drew went into free-agency, and he was spurned by Nick Saban's Dolphins because of that injury. The Saints took a swing on him, and he became a Hall-of-Famer while in New Orleans. He's one of the best leaders on and off the field, one of the most accurate ever, and he helped define a generation of QBs.

Despite the fact he has so many accolades and won a super bowl and is without question one of the greatest QBs to ever play, I still feel like he's massively underappreciated. He just played during an unfortunate time when both Brady and Manning dominated the league and got so much attention at all times (rightfully). He had such incredible pinpoint accuracy and just knew when to hit his receivers. He was a ton of fun to watch. He will without question get into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. You dudes might hear that watching these videos from time to time and talking with American sports fans, "First Ballot Hall of Famer". That means that a player will be elected by voters into the hall of fame during their first year of eligibility (I think for football that's five years after a player retires). It's a massive accomplishment because it generally always means you were such an incredible player and had such an amazing career that there was no question that you belong among the greatest. Drew Brees will be one of those guys.

Never won regular season MVP, but does have a Super Bowl MVP and win. He's won Offensive Player of the Year twice and Has NFL records for: Most consecutive games with a touchdown pass: 54 Highest completion percentage in a season: 74.4% Highest completion percentage in a game: 96.7% Most touchdown passes in a game: 7 (tied)

Years ago there used to be a segment on Sport Center called Sport Science, and Brees was on it to test his accuracy. If you can find that video, because it was like 15 years ago, give that a watch to truly appreciate how accurate he is.
  • @gougemaster1074
To think that when he entered the league, a lot of scouts thought he was too short to be a NFL QB.
  • @SippyCup84
Loved watching Brees play. As a Panthers fan, absolutely hated that we faced how twice every year. Accuracy was off the charts. Cheers to another awesome watch!
  • @KnowBreezy
MY GOAT. Glad y’all reacted to the most underrated and under appreciated QB of all time
  • @dustinheese
The story of the Saints after Hurricane Katrina is incredible. It was so exciting to watch Drew take a struggling franchise and propel a city after the devastation. I highly recommend watching a video on the story.

Brees is probably THE single best example of how being a great quarterback is as much mental as physical. His arm strength was probably slightly below average for an NFL QB, he was one of the smallest QB's in the league, and he was not particularly fast. But he had 2 things going for him that made him one of the 5 best QB's in the league for about 15 straight seasons. First, he was unbelievably accurate. Second, and probably most importantly, he was a genius in terms of knowing exactly when to make a throw, and exactly where he needed to put the ball. A team averaging 25 ppg in the NFL generally marks them as very good offensively. 30 and up is elite. In the 15 seasons Brees was the starter in New Orleans, the Saints were over 25 ppg 13 times, over 30 ppg in 4 of those seasons.

As a long-time Saints fan, I enjoyed watching you guys' reaction to Drew Brees. Honestly, he is one of the most underrated QB's in history. Should have had multiple Super Bowls, but the franchise failed to put average defenses around him for years, unfortunately. But he brought the Lombardi to New Orleans, so he is always a legend in our book.
  • @user-fk7en7bz9m
He was the most incredible passer at 5’11 we will probably ever see. Great reaction lads.
  • @SilvanaDil
One of the most accurate passers ever. He could've racked up more rings on a better team.
  • @backhandsauce2132
I think Drew Bree’s only played with one pro bowl receiver in his career and that was at the end. He did have Jimmy Graham for a few years and that was insane to watch. His career story is pretty interesting and almost didn’t happen because of a shoulder injury.
  • Drew Brees had the NFL record for most TDs, Passing Yards, Completions, Passer Rating, and more! Up until a few years ago, he had more 5000 yard passing seasons than every other QB in NFL history combined! The best part: He’s considered undersized (6ft tall), He’s only played with 1 pro bowl receiver (the last few years of his career) and he’s had to carry some historically bad defenses!
  • @rodgerslogan23
He never won a MVP. but he deserved a few. He had MASSIVE stat lines a few years but was overshadowed by historic seasons (such as andrian Peterson mvp year). But multiple seasons with over 5000 yards. One of th best QB to ever live and criminally underrated
  • @dnllrnt
That shootout with Eli and the Giants was incredible. Brees could have had the record with 8 TDs if it wasn't for an interception in the first quarter.
  • @HarborKat
Watched him play 10 times and he's just electric. Being at the game when he broke Marino's single season passing record was magic. The Big Easy didn't sleep that night.
  • @nicolasbooth3363
Brees and the Saints won the Superbowl the year after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. It was the first time the Saints ever won. The entire country was behind them, and it was incredibly meaningful for the city's comeback. I'm not sure if you picked up how often Brees steps forward in the pocket. This is because he was undersized for a QB, it was actually difficult for him to throw over the linemen at times. Not only is he one of the most accurate passers of all time, his ability to move inside the pocket was key to his success.

You guys have got to react to the Sports Science show where they pit Drew against Olympic archers. Spoiler alert he hits the target dead center every time unlike the archers and the show and he go on to explain the science behind throwing a football
