Fun fact: the Cullen house in Portland was filmed for the first movie. However, from New Moon to the end of the series, the production team built a replica in Vancouver, B.C. !

i grew up in portland and it's so funny seeing the daily weather be romanticized as "twilight core" hahaha but it makes me miss it a ton, too!!

“Goonies” is still a fave childhood magical movie of mine and obviously “Twilight.” The woods and those autumn colors are just beautiful in the movie…it’s the child imagination in many of us.

Ahaha as an Oregonian this was funny to watch in some parts, cannon beach has always just been a normal beach I never really thought about the rocks lol. Oregon does have a decent amount of film locations though!

I was today years old when I found out Twilight wouldn’t exist if 9/11 did not happen. It begins with Gerard Way, who created the band My Chemical Romance after witnessing the attacks on 9/11. That band’s music then inspired Stephanie Meyers, who wrote the “Twilight” books series that in turn inspired E.L. James, author of the “Fifty Shades” trilogy.

I would definitely recommend visiting Astoria Oregon next time you take a trip PNW! Astoria is where a lot of the Goonies was filmed and the Free Willy movies. It’s a beautiful town!
