I can confirm the Commander Fox figure has “caused me direct mental, psychological, and physical harm due to the 2-3mm of white printed on the torso” lol
  • @benaldrich2768
When he said “alternate face for the senate” That made my day

I think that having Padme in this set is nice just because I can't remember the last time that we got a non-Jedi/Sith major character from the Prequals & the set itself is a nice looking set but yes even I agree that the poorly done trooper is poorly done, no denying that fact.

Jang mocking the overreactions to clone figs continues to be one of my favorite things. And then it’s immediately followed by fair and well-analyzed criticism of the fig. What a clear headed and professional guy!
  • Lego can remember the details of an extremely rare gunship variant even down to the tiny republic logo on the ramp but gets Fox wrong in almost every way
  • @masterbrickateer23
I just love Jang’s reviews. It’s a shame Fox has errors with the printing, it just kills the excitement of his return after so many years.
  • I love this set. I really support the smaller builds we have been getting lately (like the x-wing and tie fighter) but the price for this is insane. I would never spend more than $100 on this. I think the price would not be so bad if it came with two more guard troopers AND two clone pilots so you could really fill the whole thing out. Also just a small side thing I don't know why lego tiles off their troop transport decks. I think just about any kid is gonna replace those tiles with plates to fit more clones (but that is a super small nit pic)
  • @GojiSwag99
I think both criticisms of the Fox figure are valid. There’s no reason for the chest plate and kneepads to be incorrectly colored, and there’s no reason for the white printing to be less than opaque. Not to mention the lack of the cloth. Unacceptable.
  • @idavid8391
Love the set, but I think it's dying for one or two more clones...
  • @duyho3247
Jang, thank you for being level-headed and not caving into the circle-jerk of unreasonable phase 2 clone hate. I think that the holes are a good compromise to promote customizability and certain design decisions for the printing- while questionable and not 100% accurate- reflect what characters would look like if loosely interpreted as a toy. I also am pretty disappointed with how the white-on-red printing came out on Fox though, and I completely understand the outrage behind that.

Hey Jang, not sure if you know, but with Fox, in addition to the white on the chest, and the terrible opacity, the knees were also supposed to be red. I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world, but it’s a little crazy to me that something like this was allowed to slip through. Surely a lot of people at LEGO review stuff like this, right? It gives the impression that nobody at any step looked at the source material, which is a mindblowing concept.
  • @bennjo1728
Fox is awful, that goes without saying, however I'm really digging this new LAAT design. The size looks more in-scale with the minifigures, and most of the angles look fantastic, overall a much improved model. Whilst I would have preferred the classic white scheme, the red and white is really striking.
  • @rajingcajun488
Actually,on the wing turrets, I don’t think there’s ever been an actual cannon version where those were manned stations. It’s just that that’s something that previous toys did and now a lot of fans who are more familiar with their old toys than the actual designs expect it.
  • @lord_aqua
Printing issues aside, I really feel like the printed waist capes aren't as bad as people say, but they really should use dual molded legs to cover the sides
  • @VadarVadar
I love Jangs reviews. He is the only one who is arguing nice and out of the point of view as a toy for children... which it is. Keep on going Jang
  • @jamesadowney
Although I've seen other reviews from people that got this set earlier, you provided some much needed viewpoints and overall did a phenomenal job reviewing this set. You actually pointed out things that others missed. Really appreciate you in this community.
  • @benchborner
The inaccuracies with the Fox are particularly frustrating because they aren’t the result of limited concept art, like Jacen’s hair color in the Ghost. I like to give LEGO as much credit as possible, and the build/ figure selection is otherwise excellent (maybe lacking a figure or two) but it’s hard to overlook inaccuracies on a character that’s had official reference material for over a decade at this point. It’s very much not the end of the world like a lot of fans want to claim, but combined with the poor printing quality, it’s really unfortunate to see with a desirable character that’s likely not going to be remade anytime soon
  • @skyler2762
jang, ive watched 2 other reviews of this set and yours is reminding my once again why youre my favorite reviewer on youtube. you arent sensationalist, youre always so thorough and honest, and most importantly, fair.
  • @herowither12354
That extra 3mm of white looks better than Fox in canon. About the kama.. I don't want cloth, or rubber, I want dual molding.
  • @bromance_y
I watched some other reviews of this set, since some reviewers got them earlier and I got reminded how professional you are in your videos, you set such a standard other reviews are unwatchable lol, thanks jang!!!
