Extremely Heavy rainfall and Thunderstorm at the Nana BTS station in Bangkok. I walked from Sukhumvit Soi 11 towards the Nana BTS station to catch the train when the heavens opened up.

At about 2 minutes and 26 seconds I think lightning struck nearby and it shut down the electricity for a second. Even for the rainy season in bangkok this was heavy.

They'd be a gust of wind through the classroom windows at around 1:30 pm, with darkening clouds on the horizon. Half an hour later, one or two of the students would tentatively ask "Can we go home, teacher?" - their looks of hopeful expectation, combined with past experience, gently convinced me to say "Yes". The next minute the heavens would open up, and we'd all get soaked on our way home, but thankfully, none of us ever had to swim back. Happy memories!
