PFBC stocks the Keystone Select Trout waters with trophy fish. They range from 14-20 some inches. The Keystone Select waters allow you to fish with flies or lures. Yes, you can fish flies with a spinning rod. Refer to the PFBC Fishing Summary/Boating Handbook for a list of delayed harvest waters and then look for the Keystone Select waters. Good times await those who venture out and "Live to be OnTheWater". Landed a good number of fish while on this outing. Most fish hammered a squirmy wormy. Four large fish were landed today; 17, 18, 20 and 20 inch rainbows. Simple fishing that anybody can do. I had a few sections of water all to myself. Great Blue Heron was my only competition and I saw a mink scooting along the far bank. Foul hooked a few suckers. Midges were all over the waters surface. Thousands and thousands of them. I think I saw 3 fish rise. In this area it is common to have fish sipping midges throughout the day. Bottom release tailwater fishery that maintains a consistent temperature the entire year. Tulpehocken Creek Outfitters, TCO Outfitters has a fly shop that is about 10 minutes from the stream. There is also a Dick's Sporting Goods within 5 minutes of this stream. Stickbaits and spinners work well on the Tully. The water for the lower Tully comes from Blue Marsh Reservoir. The reservoir has so many different species of fish in it; which include: trout, Hybrid Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Musky, walleye, channel catfish, Flathead Catfish, various panfish species and some awesome carp. Blue Marsh Reservoir offers boating to a wide variety of watercrafts including canoes, kayaks, sailboats and all sorts powered boats. The upper arms of the Reservoir are SLOW NO WAKE. So please travel at a proper speed. The boating traffic can be insane at times. Jet Skis galore! There are walking, hiking, biking trails that run around Blue Marsh Reservoir and all along Tulpehocken Creek. The TULLY is situated in a highly populated area and skirts the city of READING. It is nearly a one stop shopping type of area for the entire family to enjoy. There is also a swimming/beach area! Multiple boat launch locations within the park and the PFBC does have a boat launch on Rt. 183 just outside of Bernville.
