But this time we have ranked the Best areas to Live or Retire in the North-Western side of Spain. This part of the country is entirely different, with its expat friendly cities, environment, and fantastic landscapes featuring everything from high mountains to amazingly attractive beaches. On a geographical point of view the regions that are characterized as North-Western Spain include those facing the Atlantic Sea and regions like Aragon and Navarra near the French border, as well as regions like Castilla y Leon and Extremadura on the Portuguese border.
