It would be great to hear from some fans who don't get to go that often speak about this. And also I'm curious about what this is like for fans who use the accessible seating!
  • Tourism is such a killer these days! Liverpool FC is the life of so many fans (including us), but it is never possible to get a legit ticket - Kills us when the ground is quiet during match day… get some FANS in there! 😅🔴
  • That 53% example that they used was during covid when they said it was OK to do that so of course that percentage was higher. What % was it last season?

Knowing I’ll never get a season tickets is heart breaking just have to try get my 13+ prem games, finally managed to get to anfield now I’m in Liverpool for Uni having an L postcode has given me a bit of a fighting chance

I was born and raised in Liverpool for 20 years. Now that I live in Australia I come home every two years. I have no other way to buy a ticket. I had to buy a hospitality ticket for the last game last season for £600.

Finally someone covering this big issue. Massive problem with Liverpool at the moment and the atmosphere. Getting worse every year, tickets going to the wrong people

I sent my letter off for a season ticket (along with a huge bollocking) from my missus in 1989. My eldest lad was 4 at the time. He was over 32 when I finally got the letter for a ST. Only thanks to the new stand ....... Now happily parked in the SKD :trophy-yellow-smiling:
  • Trying for years and years and No even access to season ticket waiting list registration. If anyone knows how to do that PLEASE let me know. MANY THANKS
  • I remember going for my First Kop season in 1983 just filled a form in paid £34 👀 and that was it!! Guaranteed FA Cup Final League Cup Final and European Cup Final tickets as well,It’s certainly changed nowadays,We struggled to get 32,000 in the early 80’s I think people got bored of going the game because we were so dominant

Is it easy to get with a membership and checking for tickets put back in the ballet
  • I never quite understood why the club didn’t fill out the corner of the stadium between Anfield road and the main stand you could of got another 3/4 thousand seats that would of help the ticket issue too. Fundamentally Anfield capacity is just too small we are getting their but it will take time.

Haven’t watched the video yet but is the only way to get tickets now if your not a season ticket holder is through the ballet system???
  • Back in 70s you would be in the ground before 2 on Saturday if it was a European game you would que up for hours before the ticket office opened, today my two sons have to take turns on a season ticket that once belonged to the grandfather of one of their work mates, l know there's no easy answers but if you really want a ticket and you don't mind standing in the rain for 5 hours it worked in the old days

After season tickets at Newcastle the remaining tickets go to ballot to those amongst the reported 100k+ non season ticket holding members. NUFC could pull 80k minimum in reality higher. Arsenal could probably do similar. Chelsea, Everton and a good number of other clubs have demands that way outstrip supply. All these 55-60k stadiums are becoming inadequate already.

I entered the ticket lottery again in November for three matches and once again I got no ticket. Bah Humbug! And it really sucks when LFC play just down the road from me at Wembley and I can't get a ticket. Never had this problem back in the early-to-middle 2000's.

I am shocked that it took you almost 3/4 of the way thru before you mentioned touts ( scalpers ) and you didn't seem to see it as much of an issue. If you go online there are literally hundreds if not thousands of tickets on sale for 10 times their face value or more. Surely the club can track back the original purchaser as these seat numbers are shown on these web sites and can take action by preventing the person from buying tickets in the future and nullifying the tickets. Thomas Cook were ( I believe ) legitimate sellers of LFC game tickets which they sold as part of a package with a hotel booking and both the game ticket and the hotel was priced at face value. Three years ago I was in the process of buying tickets from them when they went into bankruptcy and since then i have not found another way to acquire tickets at face value. I am a Canadian living in Toronto and who has been a Liverpool fan for 40 years and would kill to go to a game at Anfield. After Thomas Cook went bust I had a hard time finding tickets by other means and then COVID hit so travel was out but now that we can travel again I would like to visit Liverpool and take in a game but it seems the closest I will get is a stadium tour. LFC need to decide if scalping tickets is legal or not in the UK, From daslaw.com.uk "Are ticket touts still allowed to operate in the UK? The general resale of football tickets is illegal under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 unless the resale is authorised by the organiser of the match". Surely based on this LFC can go after these web based ticket resellers and close them down so that legit fans can have better access to LFC tickets.

Have kids. I get more pleasure watching them play football for their local team than paying to watch 22 grown men competing in the FFP special Olympics. Happy to watch on TV, how about TV season tickets???
