I showed my dad this song and it was the first time I’ve ever seen him in tears. He had a traumatic childhood where his dad left and he was pretty much raising his 2 siblings alone in a dangerous place. Now he served in the military because fighting for peoples life has been what’s he’s always wanted since he was a little guy. This song truly hurts my heart after hearing the story These lyrics “go ahead and cry little boy you know that your daddy did too, you know what your mama went through, you gotta let it out son just let it out.” That part really touched both of us. -guys I deleted the typo because some of you were pissed at me. Keep in mind I wrote this 6 months ago after my dad died fighting for lives so I was all over the place. Sorry for the misunderstanding 💓 it wasn’t my intention 1 year later- can’t respond to all of you but thank you so much for all the kind replies🥰
