I’ve learned that I can’t just browse. I love shopping and if I see something I like, It’s like I have heart palpitations until I get it. Definitely an addiction or compulsion but nowhere near what these people are going through. I have no debt however I often think about how much more I could be saving. Everything is relative. I feel for all these people and am trying to do better myself!

People who can't stop shopping, I believe they try to cover holes in their lives, the girl just said, shopping is like my husband.

The woman with all the shoes and half done projects all over the place reminds of a close ADHD family member. It does get better, but professional assessment is needed to get a diagnosis. Meds, therapy, coping exercises and education for your support system (usually family) on the condition all help to get life back on track. The impulse shopping decreases and so does debt. Wishing these folks all the best ❤. Stay positive. Seek help.
  • I'm so grateful to these people that they were willing to give so much insight into their lives and minds and put in the open what so many people do but are too ashamed to admit to. Thank you and I hope you will be free from your compulsions one day.

I love shopping too. But i budget money and buy what i enjoy although i may not need everything. But i never get into debt over shopping or affect other areas of life like saving for future, paying bills, getting into debt. I only shop with the money i budget for and i make sure i use all items i buy. I research a lot before i buy. Else what is point of wasting your money on shopping. Getting into debt is stressful and i feel materialistic things are not worth it. I will never make shopping a problem in my life even though that is something i love to do.

  • The show should initiate for these go to the GP and get a diagnosis. This is not normal. They have OCD, Austism, ADHD, etc. They need help.
