ariana said that one day she woke up & she felt that he whistles were really good that day, so for fun she decided to do the chorus in her whistle register, later she decided to keep it!

Fun Fact: She recorded and produced the vocals of the song in her home studio, she sang these vocals in the shower and decided to put it in the song when she got out of the shower, she engineered the song as well as almost every song in positions and she made the vocal arragement of every song in the album.

I love that you mention her being an instrument. I also think that people don't realize how WELL she interacts with other musicians...whether singers or instruments. She's plugged into everything i this live performance. Often singers go in the opposite direction: I'm singing and everything else is sub to that.

I couldnt really understand what she said in the last whistle chorus cuz idk the words to the song, but the most impressive thing for me was the fact she went down to G5 in whistle! The fact she can go that low in the whistle register is insane, its difficult and requires a lot of control.
